Women are allowed to life heavy :)
-
I stayed in my goals but fell short on the burpees:).
-
Goal for maintenance last week (barely) met. I'm in for the burpees. I have Insanity tomorrow and that woman is obsessed with them. Cruelty I tell you, cruelty!

So sorry for a delayed response on here, but welcome, welcome!

I am also on MFP daily, but confess I have a hard time keeping up with the groups and forums. I am always thrilled to be surrounded by more folks who are working to reclaim their bodies and body image without shame. I ebb and flow, but it's what I aspire to.

Week 2 Complete, it was close for a while :) Yay!
-
I second that notion! Stay healthy all, that's what it's all about :)
-
I'm good, kept myself in range all week (calories), yippee!
-
Goal: To keep at maintenance level calories (weekly), not more, during half marathon training Track: Accurate logging and not going over Reward: A massage

CONGRATULATIONS! Yay! I am so very ecstatic for you. I can't imagine how awesome you feel (you know... minus the soreness and fatigue). Still six weeks.before mine, but I can't wait to share it with you after! You rock!
-
You totally rock!

Looks like you might have stumbled into the right forum! :) Welcome.

I also have exercise-induced asthma and struggled a lot with breathing problems. Sorry you're struggling with it. For me, the biggest game changer was the Running on Air, longer in-breath. I use a 3-in 2-out breath almost always. You may already, I don't know. At this point, a year later, I forget at times because my…

Oh my, this is so tough, and I'm afraid I just don't know. All I know is that I hope you can, while keeping all that is feisty about you. I am gay, and while being assertive can still be intimidating, it can also be attractive, and I think that for my wife and I, it's part of how we fell for each other. I hope you are…

You all just rock, seriously.
-
Wow! Rest up, you certainly worked for it. Wow.

Beautiful. Congratulations!

Dynamite! And awesome accomplishment with that 5k as well. Woo hoo!!!! You rock!
-
You are all sorts of awesome. I really wish I had something else more profound I could say/share; but I'm just inspired by you and thrilled for you. Rock on Laura! p.s. - I also just love the evolution of your race outfits!
-
Hi! I'm Jessie. I've only been running for a year, and am starting to train for my first half in May. I look forward to learning from you all!
-
Hahahaha - I get ya... totally :)

Love, love, love the vest! I did complete and forgot to post, sorry! 3.1 in 36:08. No winter sweaters for me, however, so I wore an old extra-big sweatshirt. It did make running a little tougher! :)
-
Phenomenal! It's a BIG DEAL run, and good for you for sharing your accomplishment with us, thanks!
-
Managed my first winter race today, a 5k in 22 degrees. Brrrr...... Thank goodness for an awesome run buddy! I think, perhaps, my toes have finally defrosted. The race in the cold was tough, but mostly it was the waiting around and in the chute FOR the race that was so cold!
-
And she rocked it! What fun to run with you!
-
I'm ready! And you rock! Time for some sleep before our early start :). Woo hoo!
-
Good luck with the bridge! I also think it is THE way to conquer that fear, with a community of folks protecting you via the sardine factor and the good will. And good luck on the Santa run too! I'm excited to share that I'll be running a 5k Sunday :).
-
Ooh, my anniversary weekend! In, and I'll try to volunteer my spouse to join me :)
-
Wow Laura! Nice work. Are you feeling any better.
