This! I had avoided Popeye's for a long time. A couple of years ago, I had a craving and picked up my favorites: spicy chicken, mashed potatoes, red beans and rice, and of course a biscuit. I almost cried because it was all so salty. I ate it anyway, but it didn't live up to my expectations at all, and it was nowhere near…

THIS. I like that I can control my activity level by working out more or less. Recently, I added up a few weeks' workout times and found out that I had been shorting myself several minutes. Bumped workout time back up, and progress resumed.

You'd be surprised. People of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels take yoga classes. And the sculpted, bendy ones? They had to start somewhere. Also, they're more focused on what they're doing than what you're doing anyway. I'd try it, and if you don't like it, then don't go back.

Wine and beer for me, as well. Good beer. Craft beer. None of that skinny low-carb beer. Gross. Hydration is important to me. I do try to drink plenty of water while I'm imbibing. As long as I don't hit above TDEE on a regular basis (I save those episodes for 'once in a blue moon'), I don't stress about "going over". It…

I LOVE Fitness Blender! Daniel and Kelli are my new BFFs. It's great that there's no chance of boredom, unlike some programs where you are doing the same workouts over and over. I've downloaded their 4-week program for busy people (30 minutes a day) and will start that soon. For right now, though, I just balance strength,…

A friend told me about this years ago, and he was all gung-ho about it. I looked at the soup recipe and thought it didn't sound that bad. It was just vegetable soup, after all. So I made a HUGE pot of it. I made it halfway through day 1, and then threw away the soup. Heh.

Something to think about: ACE is an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) program. The person that sells it to you makes money, which means the person that signed them up makes even more money, and so on and so forth. If you want to make more money, you sign more people up as distributors. Eventually, that house of cards falls. And…

I use the TDEE -20% method. Same calorie goal every day regardless of whether or not it's a rest day. Your exercise is built into your calorie goal. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/975025-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet

I love, love, LOVE Skinnytaste.com. Tons of healthy recipes using actual food instead of processed stuff. Emilybites.com is good, too. (Skinnytaste often uses agave as a sweetener)

I saw your canned pumpkin thread. Why not top your bagel with some of that and add pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon and sugar? Might be worth a try. Best wishes on your journey!

Ricotta cheese might be a good substitute for the full fat cream cheese. You could then decide from there if you wanted to do sweet or savory - add fruit or cinnamon/sugar for sweet, and cucumber/tomato/spinach/basil for savory. I also like the hummus idea. It's good on everything, and comes in a ton of flavors.

So proud of you, my friend! You've come a long way, baby!

I have the Biggest Loser one, that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond for $19.99 (with 20% off coupon, of course). I really like it. I test it every now and again and it's been consistently accurate. It will toggle between ounces/grams and has a tare function. I like to keep things simple, so that's all I really need as far as…

*smacks self upside head* Why didn't I think of this before? BRILLIANT. I can't wait to update all of my recipes as I make them again. I've actually decided NOT to make a recipe in the past because I didn't feel like figuring out how much constitutes a serving. I like the idea of being able to just weigh it by the ounce.…

I have purchased two. The first one was the "first" 8-week program, but due to an injury, I wasn't able to start it. Their 4-week program for busy people (the workouts are all 30 minutes or less) just came out the other day. I'm going to try it, since my schedule is so crazy. The 8-week one that I already have wasn't too…

You look FABULOUS! Terrific progress! That dress is amazing! YAY! So many exclamation points!! I'm somewhere between a 12 and a 10 right now, and I know the single digits are around the corner, and it IS freaky! I can't remember when I was in the single digits! And holy crap, your food photos! *drool*

This. I switched from MFP to TDEE - 20% because I found myself getting hangry on non-workout days. I like having one set number per day. To me, it's more sustainable and more "real life" than using exercise to "earn" food.

This sounds so good. I may try this with sardines vs mackerel.

Check out Panera's "Hidden Menu". Really good stuff there. I was surprised at how much those items fill me up. If I'm super hungry, I add a cup of soup along with them. Starbucks has been mentioned as well. They have a lot more options than you would think. My go-to Taco Bell meal is two beef crunchy fresco tacos with a…

I agree with the above responses regarding your calorie burns. I'd look into a heart rate monitor so that you know exactly what you're burning. In my experience, the MFP calculations are very much inflated. For that reason, I don't think that your net calories are truly negative. A good rule of thumb is to calculate your…
