  • I eat plenty of food on less than 27 grams of sugar per day. I limit my fruits and veggies to low sugar varieties, and when eating other foods, choose options that are low or no sugar almost exclusively. I still eat over my calorie limit on most days. ;)
  • I also eat a little chocolate every day. I suggest going 80% or higher because it's less sugar, but just work it into your diet! Life is too short to give up chocolate!
  • I am trying out chocolate wine tonight - good, but not something I would want to drink often. Which is strange because I love chocolate, and you'd think since it combines my two favorite treats that it would be perfect!
  • Hello fellow wine drinkers! I was first introduced to High Pass Winery Scheurebe at a wedding almost two years ago, and have been a wine drinker ever since. These days I mostly stick to Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, since they are supposed to be lower in sugar and carbs and fit into my diet, but do enjoy almost any…
  • Sugar is sugar, it doesn't matter where it comes from. You still need to watch your intake of fruit sugars, as your body will still store extra sugar as fat. Fruit sugar is healthier, because there are other nutrients in the fruit that your body needs. Low sugar fruits are better choices, like berries. I use fruits as…
  • I agree - sugar is sugar, no matter the source. Cut it back, and you will get great results!
  • I also like to eat from small bowls, plates and cups. It helps when my plate is full. :)
  • I follow Jorge Cruise's The Belly Fat Cure, and eat 15 grams or less of sugar. Just by limiting my sugar to 15 grams and keeping my carbohydrates to 6 servings or less, I lost 12 pounds without counting calories. There are lots of others who have lost much, much more on this plan. Some blogs you could to go are…

  • I think it's healthier to just move on, accepting that it will take longer to get to your goal.
  • I follow Jorge Cruise's 'The Belly Fat Cure' and he recommends 15 grams sugar per day. Our bodies weren't set up to process all of this sugar.
  • To look better without my clothes on! Also, I've lost a total of 82 pounds so far, and to stop here would be like stopping a few feet short of the finish line.
  • I am loving Jorge Cruise's "The Belly Fat Cure.' Basically, you are only counting sugar grams and carbohydrates. Your goal is 15 grams sugar per day, 6 servings of carbohydrates. One serving of carbohydrates is 5-20 grams. I feel as if I could eat this way forever, and I have lost my sugar cravings! Check it out!…
  • Sugar is sugar, no matter where you get it from. If you are concerned about your sugar intake but still want to eat fruit, pick low sugar fruits like berries, and steer clear from higher sugar fruits like apples and bananas. Fruits are better treated as a condiment than as the snack itself.
  • I'm following Jorge Cruise's The Belly Fat Cure - 15 grams sugar per day/6 servings carbs per day. To do this, basically I have had to REDUCE/eliminate the higher sugar fruits in my diet, as well as no more regular milk or yogurt. I use almond milk instead, and only plain yogurt, mixed with a little berries or Barlean's…
  • I want to add my two cents here - I started following 'the belly fat cure' Dec 31st, and I am totally hooked! I am loving my food, loving my weight loss and inches loss, and feel like I will never return to eating the way I ate before! I simply follow the guidelines - 15 grams of sugar per day, not over 5 in a meal, and 6…
