Day 8 - 2.13 miles Day 9 - 8 miles 86.6 miles to go!

Whoop whoop! That's great! Hard work pays off. :-)
-
I haven't signed up yet but it's a race I've done before - totally walked it. I'm going to see if I can sign up now so that it's locked in - you're right, great motivation not to quit when it gets tougher!
-
So far I've walked 5.27 miles. Hoping to get another walk/jog in today. 94.73 miles to go!
-
I'm a day late but I'm in. I'll have to get in extra miles tonight. :-)
-
I'm also a fan of Jillian Michaels: I've done 30 Day Shred, 6 Week, 6 Pack (didn't finish all 6 weeks though) and I'm doing Ripped in 30 right now. I love that you get an excellent workout in less than 30 minutes and I've definitely seen results - on the scale, smaller clothes and I'm stronger. Other videos I like are the…

I have been VACATIONING in every sense of the word this last week but it's Dec. 1 and I am back aboard the wellness wagon. @pearlsgonewild - Congrats on being so close to goal! I agree, logging my food and watching my sugar/fructose consumption makes a huge difference in my weight loss and appearance, especially…

Great job on hitting 200! Soon you'll be in One-der-land! :-) That's my goal for the New Year - to be under 200 pounds. Good luck with C25K. That's essentially what I'm doing. Can't wait until I can really run a 5K. I've walked plenty but running 3 miles continuously would be awesome. I'm in NC so I should be able to run…

cgavin77: Not to be misleading, my friend and I just went vegan for a week. It's not a pernanent lifestyle change for me - I don't know if I could ever fully give up meat and seafood. But from time to time we do vegan "challenges" as kind of a cleanse and to get the scale moving.
-
cgavin77: Don't let the scale get you discouraged. I know your body is changing - it is impossible to do a JM workout and not get tighter, stronger and leaner. To get the scale to move, I try to drink more water and eat clean - this week, a friend and I followed a vegan diet. Maybe you need to mix up what you're eating?…

I have 30 Day Shred and 6 Week 6 Pack in addition to Ripped. I was thinking of getting Banish Fat Boost Metabolism next but Shred It with Weights sounds great - I like kettlebells too. Can't beat her DVDS. A personal trainer for $10? Yes please!
-
My downfall is poor planning. If I don't have a menu planned the day before - and have it ready and properly portioned - I find myself at vending machines and fast food windows.
-
Yeah, I'm thinking of doing a mix of JM workouts during the month of December - 30DS, RI30, 6W6P etc. I want to keep doing the videos until I master them. I've been seeing terrific results not just in losing weight and toning, but also in building strength.

I am night owl by nature but I find that working out first thing in the morning works best for me. Great job!
-
I use 3 pound weights on the first and third circuit, five pound weights on the second circuit (dead lifts). Probably why the back of my thighs are burning today. As far as eating, I practice portion control and try to keep within 1200-1400 calories. I'm also limiting how much red meat I eat and focusing on veggies, whole…

Great job! How do you like Turbo Fire? I've been thinking about trying it.
-
Me neither but I'm hoping by the end of this I'll be able to crank out at least one.
-
Totally agree. I completed Week1/Day 2 this morning and OMG...yesterday I was fine, today I had to push HARD to get through it. Now my shoulders are burning and I'm very aware of my thighs. Oh well, at least I know it's working!
-
cgavin77 - I quit before I got through the entire six weeks, but I did see results in the time that I did it. Maybe I'll try it again after Ripped. It's a little longer, about 35 minutes. I felt every minute. LOL
-
pearlsgonewild - Congrats on being 2lbs from your goal and on your shrinking Mii! I can just imagine the dance she did. Personal Challenge: *I am doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 for the month of November. Should definitely burn at least 1,000 calories this week. *I will focus on fruits, veggies, whole grains and fish…

So glad to have found this thread! I was supposed to start last week but it didn't happen. Week1/Day 1 done!
-
I started Ripped in 30 today. I'm a Jillian fan, too. My shoulders are a little sore but other than that, not too bad. The 30DS kicked my butt and 6 Week, 6 Pack is insane so I didn't know what to expect, but so far so good.

Week 3 Challenge: Work out at least 30 mins a day I've been hula hooping! Not for 30 minutes at a time, in 5-10 minute intervals. I just keep the hula hoop out in the living room and pick it up every time I walk by or while I'm watching a show. It's so much fun and I'm amazed at how long I can keep it up now. Wonder if I…

WI: I'm up this week. Between the state fair and a wine party this weekend, it wasn't a big surprise. Personal challenges: Still doing horribly with the water so I will continue with that. I got in 2 workouts out of the 3 I targeted last week. This week I'm continuing with my goal of being consistent with water and…

I'm in! I did the 30DS and got great results, plus I was more dedicated to exercising every day. I need something to kick me back into high gear!
-
Hi All, I'm down one pound but still haven't been consistent in getting the water in. So for week 2, I'm working on consistently getting at least 64 oz of water in plus working out at least three times this week. On a happier note, I saw some people last week that I haven't seen in a couple of months and they all noticed…

Hey guys, I know it's late in the week but I'd love to join the challenge. I've been slacking for a month now and need to get back on the wellness wagon! I'm down 30 pounds (counting my pre-MFP weight loss). Name: Deanna Location: Raleigh, NC Reason(s) Why I am on MFP: I'm looking to make a permanent change - lose the…

Sure, add me as a friend. :-)

My dog Calliope is 4 months old and is my daily walking/running partner. There are a lot of mornings where I just want to let her out and lay back down, but once she sits underneath where her leash hangs and looks from me to the door ... well, I know I can't let her down. Once we're out there, we both enjoy our morning…
