Have you tried an electric kettle? I managed to get one as a freshman for about 20 bucks at a local Target (not sure of your location) and I'm a junior and it still works great. Plus, I can even make hard boiled eggs out of it.

The first day I did 30DS I got super ill and had to lay down or throw up. Now, I can do it just fine.

My uncles constantly. Either I"m too skinny or I'm fat. There's no middle-ground with these men. Pretty ironic coming from two overweight/obese diabetics with high blood pressure. At least I try.

Posting this so I can find this thread later.

Can't say my knees hurt, but I noticed that my left shin was feeling a bit sore during the jumping exercises. I had to dial it back a bit.
-
No offense but it's only been four days..

That's a BMI of 16; that would be impossible to maintain.

Binge eating is different than over-eating. I mean, unless you ate the usually 5k-15k calories then it's probably just something you can make up in the short-term. I don't let it get to me.
-
You do realize that your BMI would be 15.8, which is even lower than than the weight some anorectics are put in the hospital, right? Any way I'm between 5'1 and 5'2 and I'm not really too concerned with weight, but fitness and body fat percentage.

Starvation Mode does exist, but not in the way people think it does. You can search the Minnesota Starvation Experiment for more information. There's also a summary here: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/weight-loss/truth-starvation-mode

I did day 3 last night. I really like it. I do get sore afterwards which makes me dread it, but after I start the pain goes away. Not to say I don't feel the burn.

I still feel that I look the same, but my endurance is so much better. I can do about an hour of cardio exercises and still be able to stand. Couldn't do that a couple of months ago.
-
No offense but all the weight you want to lose? Did you gain that in 6 weeks? Why do you think that it would take 6 weeks to lose? You have made progress. 16 pounds is a lot! It's amazing. Don't let one stumble get in the way of your journey.

If it makes you feel better, my resting heart rate is around 94. Then I hit around 194 while running.
-
I was sore all day and dreading it, but as soon as I got into it, I was golden. I was able to do about 30 modified push ups today. I remember the days where I could do 50 normals. Must get back into shape!
-
Nope. There's a difference between physical activity and exercise.

I'm one of those "every morning after you pee" people but I'm going to try to only weigh in on Sundays so that I am not discouraged by fluctuations.

I see what you're saying. No, my BMR (at current weight) is around 1350 but most sites calculate my TDEE to be between 1600-1800. Even if it's based off goal weight, it's still higher than what I've been told. Its much more encouraging this way.

August-October - 10 lbs. I did it with walking at first, then upping up my exercise with circuit training.
-
Even if you are small-framed, a BMI of 16.-something isn't really at a healthy level. You can calculate your maintainence on this site. I don't think anyone with good conscience can tell you that you need to lose anymore.
-
This is the first time I've ever seen a site that estimated my TDEE to be over 2000 cals.
-
I think it's because you're underweight, and are aiming to be even more underweight.

I can second this after seeing their tumblr.

I'm still laughing at the bit where there's "waste" stuck inside us. My god is that horrific. What does it stick to? Our squishy, mucous-lined intestines?

When I tried to fit my pants but couldn't. I had to go from a very lean size 1 to a size pudgy 5. [I was also overweight at size 5.]

I guess it's just where you eat where you want to help your body deal w/ stress of dieting. I don't really know. I don't have cheat days. I just have days where I budget in things that I want. Yesterday, I had a chocolate milk shake and was still in my calorie budget.

Well, first, like all red-blooded, eat-meating animals, the human must first display dominance in social situations. Walk in and just pee on the machine you want, the gym rats will see your alpha male dominance and bring you water bottles to appease you. Just kidding. If you want to get more fit, or lose fat, or whatever…

I've lost 10+/- pounds since August, and I started MFP this October, and I don't really see a difference in the areas I would have liked, however I noticed my legs looking muscular in the mirror. I haven't gotten my stomach down, but that's normal. I guess it all depends on your body comp, and if you're looking in the…

I would like to get down to 16-17%. I'm not really into the soft and delicate look.

Definitely my legs. I can feel it most when I go up the stairs. I'm also a can user so maybe when I get the 3lb weights I ordered things will be different.
