  • I went off most dairy this summer and started drinking almond milk. I LOVE it! I actually love the vanilla almond milk but have to limit myself to small quantities. It's SO good. I love it to sweeten my tea just a bit.
  • Dark Knight Rises. Love the Batman movies!
  • I have had this problem before as well. I'm 5'4" and just barely too "tall" for petites. At least, I find them to be too short for my liking. The best route that I have gone is to find pants where you can get them in different lengths - short, medium, tall. Typically, the short works pretty well for me.
  • i use the vanilla flavored almond milk in my tea and i find it to be really good!
  • I know this is not exactly the same but my son (almost 7) and I just went off dairy this week. He has a bunch of allergies and diagnosed with asthma so I'm trying to eliminate dairy in hopes it will help and doing it with him so he doesn't feel bad. I'm finding that it might actually be a really great thing for both of us…
  • yes. I used 5 pounds but i think most used 3 and she recommends 3.
  • I wouldn't recommend doing it 30 consecutive days. Give yourself at least one rest day each week. If you find it to be too easy i would recommend her ripped in 30. Similar setup but it's four workouts so you do each for one week. I would typically do it 5 times a week.
  • Rest is important. I would also suggest a jogging stroller so you can take your daughter with you.
  • By that point I was accounting for about 300 calories but I was never eating as low as 1200 calories. I think that is too low if you are still breastfeeding. Well, I think it is typically (not always) too low anyway. How tall are you and how much do you weigh right now?
  • Eating more has helped me as well but I struggled (like you) at first to add foods to my diet without feeling super full and going way over on carbs. Things that I've done is gotten rid of the nonfat milk - I do 2% or whole. I drink a protein shake after workout and that is a good chunk of calories and protein. I add olive…
  • They base it on your choices. Most people choose the lose two pounds options and since the lowest it will go is 1200 that's where it puts you. You can manually change/set your goals.
  • that might have been an indication that you were eating too little and exercising too much. When you cut your calories, what were you netting?
  • Those were SO hard for me!!! ETA: My 5 year old even said, "whoa, these are too hard. I'm going to do fast feet instead." LOL!
  • I did NMTZ for the first time this morning and I loved it. I was totally sweating and my arms were starting to shake! I did do 20 minutes on the bowflex last night though so I think that contributed to the overall shakiness. BFBM definitely is killer. i will be doing that on thursday.
  • I love JM! My favorites are 30DS, Ripped in 30 (just did that one and loved it!), Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones. I think the 30DS is a good place to start. I also checked out amazon and went through all the reviews to get an idea of how people liked them and how they were.
  • I started with 3 pounds, and moved up to 5.
  • You've said eating more didn't help. I'm curious, what were the calories you were eating and for what length of time?
  • It's hard to suggest things without seeing your diary. For me, the easiest thing was to see what I was already eating and replace with something with more calories, but the same thing. For example, I don't drink fat free milk, do reduced fat or reduced calories of pretty much anything. So I will drink 2% or whole milk in…
  • Honestly, I never thought about the shoes aspect! I generally get them shoes that are pretty decent and ones that they find comfortable. A lot of time I stick to the same style/brand as they move up in sizes because I already know they like them and find them comfortable. I don't know that I would get my kids running shoes…
  • That's great! Honestly, with the exception of a couple of moves, I really liked level 4. The scissor kicks were hard for me to do as well as the chataranga (sp?) push ups.
  • Thanks! I've done the bfbm one before and remember feeling like I couldn't get through it, but I did, and I'm in much better shape now. But, since they are longer, I am going to do each of them once a week. I think what I have decided is that I'm going to do my pilates DVD on Mondays and Fridays, and then incorporate some…
  • That's what is so hard! It's so different for each person in what triggers it, as well as what helps it.
  • I see. I always have a hard time traveling as well. I don't have IBS (diagnosed) but I have to be really careful what I eat because my stomach is pretty sensitive when I eat poorly, which tends to happen on trips. It also chooses to be sensitive at random times as well. I think the anxiety of knowing you will be "trapped"…
  • Incredibly tiny meals in terms of calories or actual size of the meals? I mean, have you tried more calorie dense foods (I hope I'm using the right terminology) to be able to have the right amount of calories without having a huge (actual size) amount of food? Does that make sense? ETA: If it were me, I wouldn't supplement…
  • Hmm, I've always though ON ran a bit big. I'm 5'4 about 145 (size 8 at ON) and can easily fit into their medium suits. Based on that I would think you could do an XS. I know when I was around 115 I had an ON suit that was a small and fit well but it was a string bikini style. Maybe you could do an xs top and small bottom…
  • I love it but have done it quite a bit in the past so I just completed (today!) Ripped in 30 and liked this one even more.
