I can definitely see a difference between these two!

Amazing job! Posts like these help with my (already flagging) "New Years Resolution" motivation.

Me! I am a 23 year old masters student whose goal is also to lose about 15 pounds. Add me!

PS. Both plain rice and quinoa are (generally) gluten free. However I don't know if they are "banned" by the Wheat Belly book.

I tested negative for Celiac, but have terrible GI issues that seem to become a bit better when I don't eat gluten. I never would have figured that out if I hadn't cut out gluten for an extended period of time, so I don't necessarily think it is a bad idea to try going gluten free just to see whether it influences your…

Rachiegrl6, that is a crazy change after 10 days!

I switched! After reading everything on here about BMR, TDEE, etc. it just seemed to make so much more sense. I was put on the lowest possible number of points on WW, and I would lose weight quickly initially and then just stall. Now, I think it was probably because I was eating below my BMR, and my recent investment in a…

If we right click and copy the URL into a different window, we can see the whole thing :) Great job!

Yay! People who are exactly in my position! I'm 23, between 5'3 and 5'4, just started grad school, and hit my all time high weight of 133 a few weeks ago. I am down to about 130 at the moment, but the weight I gained over the summer/fall is extremely obvious on a shorty like me! My parents are incredibly supportive people…

For those who make recipes off of Skinnytaste.com, have you found that her calories listed are often quite different from the total that comes up in the MFP recipe builder? For example, I just put in her Chicken Pot Pie soup (http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/01/chicken-pot-pie-soup.html), and I came up with a total of 331…

Thanks you two!

+1 My dad is a doctor, and he says that he is constantly disheartened by the number of women that come into the operating room for breast reductions when they still have a significant amount of weight to lose. For those that are on the path to sustainable weight loss, they often end up losing volume that they will regret…

I always lose mine when I drop weight and start exercising regularly *sigh*. Its a shame, because I am more "hour glass" shaped when I am heavier since my bust increases, and more of a "pear" at the lower (healthier) weights because I always lose my chest and my waist gets tiny (not complaining about the last bit!).

@giggitygoo Super motivating for a fellow shorty who only has a bit of weight to lose :)

I think you hit the nail on the head in regards to men not really being able to tell the difference between naked natural, and natural well applied makeup. One of my best friends is gay, and very critical of both women and men's clothing/makeup/general appearance, and he was convinced I didn't wear anything except for…

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a really low sex drive in the early to mid twenties age range. To all the ladies that have high or insatiable sex drives, have you always been that way? I've mentioned my lack of desire to doctors before and they gloss over it as a complete nonissue and certainly have no helpful…

To those just starting, it gets much easier! I was absolutely dying on day 1, and now on day 7 I can go the whole way through without stopping doing the 'harder' moves (except for the push up, I still have to do a modified version of that). Also, as a warning, I 'gained' weight (ie I'm assuming water retention) when I…

I find this thread fascinating! It is crazy how people with similar heights/weights have such different size distributions, and how women with very similar measurements still wear different clothing sizes. It just goes to show the scale (once you are within the healthy weight range) isn't necessarily the best way to track…

This inspired me to actually take my measurements, so thank you :) I am just at the beginning of my weight loss journey, so these are "skinny fat" measurements because I don't have much lean muscle, so just keep in mind that you very well could be smaller at 126 lbs if you are lean. Height: About 5’3.75 Weight: 126/127…

Hey! I am 23, between 5'3 and 5'4 and started at almost exactly your weight 3 weeks ago! I am doing the 30 Day Shred and following Weight Watchers (I know this isn't a popular plan around here, but I signed up 3 weeks ago and bought 3 months so I figure I should use it), and am now down to 126/7ish. I'm certainly no expert…

I've been on Yasmin for years and experienced no significant weight gain on it, less than 5 pounds, for sure. It really helped clear up my skin in conjunction with glycolic acid, using extended cycling means I have no period and so no cramps/fluctuations in water weight associated with TOM, and I gained a bit of volume in…

I had one 8 months ago. Thanks for raising awareness about this :)

An apple with 1 tbsp of all natural peanut butter warmed up in the microwave, 1 boiled egg, and 1 cup of skim milk. Occasionally I will do a veggie omelet, but I'm usually in a rush in the mornings!

I have a very hard time self regulating my alcohol intake (ie. I consumed 1000+ calories a day in alcohol alone almost every day from May-September this year which was obviously problematic), and it caused me to gain about 15 pounds. When I started Weight Watchers a few weeks ago, I made the commitment to myself that…

Honestly, since I shifted to a healthier diet focused on fresh produce my grocery budget has been killing me. I'm going home for Thanksgiving tomorrow, so I bought a few *supplementary* grocery items so I don't have to panic about grocery shopping when I get back and my papers/midterms hit (I'm in grad school) - the cost…

Between 5'3 and 5'4, and I would love to be around 114. I was around 120/122 in the spring and then put on about 15 pounds over the summer. I was down to 126 on Monday, but have put on some weight since I started The 30 Day Shred (water retention, I know), so I figure I have about 13-15 pounds left to go :) ETA: I'm…
