Sounds like exactly what I need! I have tried to do this app without adding friends and just "lurking", but I think I need a little more rah-rah to help me stay on target :) Please add me!!

I have been struggling for a few months, but this thread has kept my eye on the prize. It has also motivated me to push myself, so today my NSV is that I purchased a new pair of running shoes and I signed up for a 5K!

Breakfast is my biggest challenge! I will do oatmeal, but overall I just hate eating breakfast... That being said, I will make a winter squash and eat that with brown sugar and walnuts. Or, I will make a pan of baked eggs (onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, eggs) for the week and eat it on top of toast with a slice of…

When I pulled my jeans out of the dryer and they were too big/frumpy. In my mind I wasn't losing anything and the scale hasn't moved... but my clothes tell a different story
-
Nobody told me that eventually I would like the feeling of waking up hungry because I'm not stuffing myself to the gills every night.

Scale hasn't moved in WEEKS... But, yesterday I tried on two of my "too small" work dresses and a pair of size 10 jeans (currently wearing a 12) -- all fit really well and looked great. Even though the scale isn't moving, my weight lifting has been firming and reshaping things. My *kitten* has never looked better!! ;)

Thanks everyone!

Over indulged for Mother's Day yesterday: tacos, patron, and cupcakes plus all the fixings. Got up this morning and went for a one hour hike before doing a few kettle ball swings. Ate a decent lunch. I'm proud that I didn't let one day of indulging kick me off track. I definitely can not do that more than once in a blue…

- How your friendships will change. It is hard to be around people with no desire to be active. Now I have friends that will go hiking with me and friends that will eat with me. It also dramatically changes who you will date. I recently ended a relationship because he just couldn't/wouldn't be healthy and active with me.…

Tomato soup (homemade) and lemon water. We are grilling turkey burgers tonight, so I ate a bigger breakfast and a smaller lunch.

My mini-goal is 170 pounds. I have not weighed less than 175 in the past 5 years. Currently, 179. Ultimately, I am shooting for 145 which is what I weighed 10 years ago when I moved to my current state of residence and was the healthiest I've ever been.

Thank you!

Isn't it true that anything eaten between the magical minutes of 12:01am and 12:23am, the calories don't count? ;-)

Yes! My nutritionist told me to avoid sugar -- all sugar. No more than 26grams per day. It's hard, but since I started doing that my energy has greatly improved. I do force myself to be active, even when I'm exhausted. It helps.
-
I've always been active. Four years ago, I got sick and went from 145 to 195. I avoided it because I was focused on school. Then I took a trip to Tennessee to go hiking. In my mind, I was still a very active 145lb person. In reality, I couldn't fit my hiking clothes and I couldn't hike the trails I wanted to do because I…

The biggest change for me is that now I want to go out and DO something. Not just sit on a bar stool and drink. I want to take a dance class and then have a glass of wine afterwards. My tolerance is lower. My confidence is way up and my social anxiety is gone. I use to avoid doing the things that intrigued me like rock…

I am in love with this thread! <3 I've had a couple this past week: - Went down a band size in bras, 40DD to 40C, which means less back chub! - My jeans can now be pulled off without unbuttoning them (Size12) - All my work pants fit better. I had to have the buttons sewn back on them a couple months ago, so the extra room…

I juice for 1-2 days because of a medical condition every few months. It is more to give my digestive tract a rest, not to lose weight. I see nothing wrong with it. I believe the film had some very valid points about what we eat and how we eat, but his juicing was extreme and under the supervision of a doctor because he…

I bought one a couple of weeks ago, but I am returning it. It is great for motivation, but I don't really need it for that. I think I would benefit more from an HRM. Basically, it acts like MFP except that it monitors your movement above and beyond your daily caloric burn. It helps you set goals for how much you want to…

I'm in! This will help me stay focused on training for my 7K in March :-)

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago, and it is okay. I think I was expecting something more than what it is. It's a great tool if you need/want motivation to move your body. I don't really need that. I wanted something a little "more", but I didn't want to buy a $300 HRM =) So, I'm torn on it. I'm using it for now, but…

Sure! I'll give it a try =)

You control your mind. Change your thoughts. Come up with a list of good things you can combat the negative things with and try to tune your mind into them instead: "This is really tightening my butt"... "I will look so good in my jeans today."..."I'm going to feel so good after this." ...."I love how sweaty I'm…

That is AWESOME!!! Kudos to you =)

Take it from a gal that LOVES to cook and even moreso, I love to hear the words "Baby, this is delicious" come out of my boyfriends mouth... when you can make a really healthy meal and have them say the same thing, you feel 100x more amazing. I made a whole-wheat pasta chicken lasagna the other night (350 cals per cup) and…

I've read that they are incredibly nutrious. The main way I've heard of people using them is by adding a tablespoon or two into a smoothie or juice. The seeds retain fluid and "plump" up when you add them to liquid so they thicken whatever you put them in. I've been considering buying them, but I haven't gotten around to…

Cheese is a killer! I usually order a small, thin-crust veggie with half cheese... But, I am also a crust lover =)

I'm sitting in my NSV today... I bought a pair of work pants 3 years/30lbs ago and needless to say, the wouldn't even go over my thighs. Today I'm sitting in them becauses they are the only work pants I currently own that fit me! =) Another big NSV for me is when my boyfriend and I are cuddling... lately, he can't seem to…

When I reach my goal I am treating myself to a rib/back tattoo AND professional photographs - yes, the tasteful nude kind :)
