As a feminist I believe that equality means women should do some of the uncomfortable stuff sometimes and not just leave it to the men, so I have asked men out or made the first move on a number of occasions. Have to say that a lot of men react very badly to this! They really don't like it at all, responses range from very…

I was a very skinny teenager but got them on my inner thighs from normal puberty growth. Any oil will help.

Thank you!

You only had three glasses of wine but you have an addiction? That's awesome. That, to me, is still drinking under control (albeit more than you would like and obviously it doesn't help with the willpower when you're trying not to overeat as well). It's frustrating but you're overall still on the right track. You will get…

People only started commenting after the first stone (14lb). But I did get a lot of comments before then about how well I was looking.

Wow. So daycare should cost less for the hours kids have an afternoon nap? I don't think they'd be too impressed. Fact is you are still there making sure the kid is safe, soothing him if he's crying or upset, and there to protect him if there's a fire or anything goes wrong in the house. How ridiculous to begrudge $2 for…

I don't know who Dr Oz is but that cake recipe looks gorgeous. Beetroot cake, zucchini muffins and carrot cake are all really delicious individually (even though the idea of it is freaky for those of us who don't like their vegetables) so why wouldn't it work together? And if it gets you 1 portion of vegetables, for a…

I generally trust the MFP exercise figures because they match fairly closely with the ones on the exercise machines I use, which are calculated based on my weight. So I don't worry too much.

I have a friend with PCOS and thyroid problems who has a host of other physical issues stemming from being hit by a car as a teenager, which mean that she can't exercise in the way that most people can. And she is still determined to do CV where she can and eat the right food... although it is a lot harder for her to lose…

Cycling machine, easily the best as I cycle anyway. Worst, anything that involves upper body strength (as I don't want to develop it since I'm not going to keep it up). So lifts, or burpees come pretty close too.

Hot buttered toast! Especially rye bread, but really anything toasted...

Pretty girl, great skin!

Great smile, cute pierced tongue (?)

Not in bleach, I don't!

Difficult. Because physical conditions like chronic pain can change a person's personality and make them very difficult to live with indeed. The mental health outcomes of some physical conditions can do the same, so it's not just about mental health conditions that you know about from the start. Ultimately you have to know…

You look absolutely stunning, and what amazing determination and persistence. Fantastic!

Impressed!

If you're not losing weight but following the diet and exercise plan as you've set it out then other possible issues are undiagnosed health issues like PCOS.

I put on a lot of weight (through trying to get energy with sugary foods) and struggled to exercise when I was anaemic. I know how hard it is when you feel exhausted plus you clearly have a busy lifestyle as well. So what I'd suggest is worrying a bit less about weight until your iron and vitamin B levels are at a healthy…

M and S fruit jelly - only 90 calories. You can make your own (from veggie jelly mix) but the down side of that for me is being unable to resist slurping the whole thing down at once ;-)

Exercise does help a bit with the weight loss but more importantly it tones you up and that makes a difference at whatever size you are. I have seen a lovely slender girl who obviously isn't toned because parts of her that had very little fat were a bit on the saggy side. Not criticising her but it made me realise you need…

I've lost over 20 pounds, my clothes fit much better but my waist/hip measurements haven't changed. I've lost a lot of fat all over and from my belly (in between hip and waist lol) so the difference is visible, which it might not be to you if you've lost 8lb. You probably need to be measuring fat with callipers or…

Nobody else sees your food diary so why lie? It suggests there is a lot of shame and guilt associated with food if you can't bear to see when you have gone over and how much by Part of the reason MFP works is that it helps you spot patterns in your diet that you can change and take control of. It's just a computerised…

Red hair (it's dyed now but hey) and nice legs (all my weight goes on my middle and this is the plus point). Personality, oooh I'm not sure. I get told I'm an activist and a good friend.
-
I like my red hair too much to let it go to white and mousey, which it is underneath the dye. It doesn't feel like 'me' that colour. If you're naturally white though that could look spectacular and cool, you could colour it with crazy color really easily. You are young enough to have 'young' haircuts that would help if you…

A friend of mine lost a lot of weight without logging - he was about 8 stone overweight at the time. What worked for him was to only eat meals or individual foods that were 5% fat or less. It became a very easy way to check whether something was OK or not, and it's not hard to find out as lots of food (as well as processed…

Homemade salsa (actually almost any salsa will have fewer calories than a dairy-based dip) - flavour comes from the seasoning not from the fat.
