Yep I'm off to the running store where all my running friends go to get on the treadmill and have them analyse me :-) I'm hoping that's going to do the trick

I hope the knees are good now? Don't mess with the knees! As bikram says... You can mess with God but not with the knees!!!!
-
Wahhhhhh!!!! Hmmm... Well my next step is to splash some cash on some running shoes at the store that does all the special gait analysis business. My shoes I've got are good minimalist shoes but I'm up for ideas from them. I think im likely to spend a year figuring out the bugs too lone wolf!!! :-)

Yea the tuck is the only thing that'll fix it. It's a bummer!

Emotional freedom technique. It's had some great results with anxiety I've noticed. There might be something in that :-)
-
Nah lol! I ignore that :-)

Gosh I don't want to be thin... I want to be strong and healthy and have the sort of arms that people go..... NICE! I'm not into thin, I'm into toned and gorgeous and strong and healthy and being able to run really fast if I spot a snake or something :-)))

Squats!!! My face is like a smacked *kitten* when I do squats!! Don't compare yourself to anyone else :-)
-
You crazy boy!! ^^ lol. Well seems fine as you're a seasoned runner. I on the other hand am battling the odd shin splint ( sorted with a change of running form) and now Achilles slight pain ( prob from the change of running form!!) but onward with ice!!!

Hi, congrats on your pregnancy! I deliver babies everyday so have a special interest in your post! Firstly, your doctor is quite correct and yes you can go through this pregnancy without gaining weight. I've had a lot of girls do this and they have done so well. Have they referred you to a dietitian? I don't know where you…

Arrrghhh the last bit is hard right!!! I'm on that bit too, with a few more kilos to lose than you. What I've done recently is up my workouts and added some intervals. Added a bit more strength training. Bought a food scale and started weighing food! Read every sticky on here to remind myself and then wrote down all my fab…

Hi Melissa, Your post really touched me. I'm so pleased you're out of that relationship and now looking after yourself. And I'm so pleased you have become part of this community. Welcome. And add me as a friend if you like. I got out of an abusive relationship, possibly in a different way than yours and lost weight like…

I run at 8 generally sometimes up to 9.6. I think when I first started I was about 6. I think it's good advice to only go at the speed your comfortable with at first to avoid injuries. It seems going to fast too soon can cause that so I'm keen to avoid. I did speed up a bit a couple of weeks ago then backed off. Speed…

Keep going! You rock! :-)

Yep! Love this one... And if it comes on near the very end of my run when I'm looking like I need resus I'm like YUSSSSSSS!!!! :-)

Wow gorgeous. Winter wonderland as I was sweltering in 38 degrees in Aussie yesterday!

Oh and then I read the reply below! Hmmm... Well just do your own thang! You're in healthy range :-)
-
Totally this!! :-)

Eeekkkk !!! I dunno ! Hopefully someone has the answer
-
Ah but yes to answer your question! Yes possibly the start of shin splints. Super annoying! Take the rest days and slow down. You could also try compression sleeves, I'm liking mine :-)
-
I found changing my running form from being a heel striker to a mid foot striker helped heaps... Plenty of you tube vids about it :-)
-
Yes I need to get on the road at some point for sure. I might do some park runs. I think it's because I started with the treadmill and love my gym so much but it's something I def need to do if I want to enter some races :-)
-
Yea it's hard right! Something just kicks in at some point and you realise you've just had enough. I reckon planning is the key. Do you like lists? Write lists for food etc, plan like mad. Do the calorie thing first then start adding in some easy exercise. You can do it :-)
-
Yup, add me :-) in the space of 7 years I moved a couple of countries and managed to put on zillions of kgs. My heaviest was 110 kg! I'm now 77 and have another 12 to go. Im doing it for myself as I was aghast at how I could have let it get so bad. I've always been sporty and have def had chubby but very fit times. So part…

K not kale!! But kale is good! I eat my body weight in it :-)

Hmmm that app I mentioned didn't work with my spotify music so I ditched that! Annoying huh!!! Interval run works with it though and I'm also having a play with runkeeper. I am so fickle with apps! Though idid stay with the couch to 5 kale the way :-)

I burn around 370 to 400 running and then I do weights but don't count that :-)
