I play for the Pensacola Aviators. I just started playing last summer...started with 7s and then when 15s season started I really fell in love. I normally play tighthead but I'll move to loose occasionally and I've hooked a few times.

99% of the time I wear my contacts. Even on days when I've worn my glasses all day I'll put my contacts in just to work out. I can't stand having my glasses sliding off my face once I get sweaty.

I've started something similar when I get home. I'll go ahead and put on my workout clothes right when I get home so that once the kids are in bed all I have to do is put on my shoes. Seems to be working well.

Thanks! I'm a little worried that the 60 days will go TOO quickly. The FL state competition I went to this past weekend has some good players but this next one will be in MS. Most likely a lot of the same gyms will be there.

I wish I could train in the morning or not long after a meal, energy/food wouldn't be an issue then. I leave work and go directly to my gym, train for about an hour and then I'm home just before 8pm. So I'm looking for suggestions to bridge lunch and dinner. I don't think I could make it through drills let alone sparring…

We drill escapes nearly every session so I'm much more comfortable now. It was just weird coming from wrestling where you didn't want to be on your back at all.

Thank you all for your kind words! We both appreciate it! And, yes, I am extremely proud of my wife! :-D I think she actually said in one of her interviews that she can see how sad she was when she looks cat those pictures. It really is amazing how every part of your life is affected by making changes and getting healthy.

Nothing wrong with starting out with body weight squats until you feel comfortable with the form. Once you're comfortable add a little weight and see how that goes. Better to go slow than cause an injury because of ego. And as far as lunges go, I would expect that if you keep doing them you'll strengthen the supporting…
