  • It wasn't Dr. Oz saying it---it was his guests Jenna Wolfe , Dr. Neal Barnard , Dr. Drew Pinsky , Dr. Oliver Di Pietro. I don't watch him unless something grabs my interest.

  • I like plain Fage yogurt. I use it as a starter for my homemade. Any dairy will have natural sugar including yogurt. To get back to the OP's question....There is nothing wrong with eating dinner foods for breakfast! Chicken, roasted vegetables, etc.
  • I try to buy 1 thing in the produce department that I have never tried. some I have liked and some I threw away I thought they were so nasty! BUT I tried them!
  • I hate when people feel the need to comment on what I buy. Especially ones who do not know me. I'd have probably said something "smart" back to them. We buy rotisserie chicken about twice a month. If it's on sale it comes out less then if I buy a chicken and roast it myself, saving me time and money.
  • You can find it in Ohio but you really have to look for it. Try the Farmers Markets or search online.
  • I have been following a 16:8 fasting schedule and a LCHF lifestyle. I looked up several sites but my favorite is still Dr. Jason Fung's lectures on You Tube and his blog. It isn't for everyone but it works for me and that is what counts. It also impressed my doctor. LOL!
  • Making your own is wayyyyy better and you have more control over ingredients. It's not that hard either. Here is a link to one recipe: http://momsthumb.blogspot.com/2014/01/homemade-cottage-cheese.html I have also made mozzarella cheese and ricotta. OH! And sauerkraut. And yogurt.
  • Sometimes I eat them but I prefer roasted vegetables. Grilled Romaine lettuce is tasty though! A little olive oil, salt and pepper..that's it!
  • Do they go by percentage of weight lost like Biggest Loser? That would make it fair between the guys and women.
  • I pick and choose which episodes I watch.....signs of heart attack in women?--Yes, Charlie Sheen or a Psychic? NO! I am sure Oprah is still controlling content in the background yet.
  • Dr Jason Fung has some very good lectures on Intermittent fasting. He explains why it just isn't cutting the calories. I do the 16:8 and it works well for me. Once in awhile I will fast 24 hours (from dinner to dinner next day) But I don't eat anything in between like some books say to. To me eating is not fasting but we…
  • I drink mine that way most days or I use heavy whipping cream and it is really good! You use unsalted butter! I am on LCHF though. Most people don't understand how you lose eating fat...I don't fully understand either but I know it works for me and my doctor is good with it. Watch "Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off"
  • There's more to it then that. It's a very well balanced eating plan. Read the book and don't believe the negative reviews. I have found that they don't even have the eating plan down right.
  • If you are eating the unlimited vegetables he says to eat and the other foods, you will be ok. I would not recommended skipping to the next cycle until you have done the 17 days of cycle 1. I know it is tempting but it is set up this way for a reason. Also you should not stay on one cycle for longer then 17 days. I have…
  • People have a hang-up with the word "diet". I follow this plan and I love it!
  • Dr. Oz doesn't have anything to do with the 17 Day Diet. To the OP----I have been on this and have been successful. I also know many others who are doing very well on it. It is a well rounded plan in spite of what people here may think. Best of luck!
  • Your probiotic serving does not have to be yogurt! The Doctor lists other things such as Miso or sauerkraut as probiotics. Also on the official website in a video Dr. Moreno says probiotic supplements are fine. Also for anyone who does not like Green Tea, he says you can take the green tea supplements as well.
