  • Oh and hello everyone :) I'm due August 9th with baby #2 - my son is 3 1/2 Been sick, hopefully that's behind me...working out has been good, I haven't been tired (until about 8 pm!!!) and I get to work out on my lunch hour at work so that's been good. Haven't had my u/s yet - I'm showing WAY earlier this time so everyone…
  • I'm currently 14 weeks and I've just started to feel better! I've been battling nausea all day/every day since 5 weeks!!! Here's hoping we're done with it!!!

  • One so far - he's 3 1/2 and I gained about 45 lbs...I was very fit and active before my pregnancy and as it was a "suprise" pregancy, I did a lot of comfort/emotional eating in the beginning and scared myself out of working out too hard (I fainted on the treadmill - so I stopped running and really didn't work out too…
  • Speed-skaters. They're brutal, but they work!!!
  • I make myself a fruit/spinach smoothie every morning and drink it while I'm getting ready (I have a hard time sitting down and eating first thing in the morning) and then I'll make myself some oatmeal when I get to work. I find that eating a really good, hearty breakfast makes me make better choices throughout the day.…
  • My nutritionist SWEARS by drinking lemon water - all throughout the day, but a big glass in the morning to get things going, before you eat anything. Also, EATING BREAKFAST - probably the best thing you can do!!!
  • I have 5 and my biggest piece on my arm hurt the most (3 sittings totalling about 9 hours) - the first time I sat for 5 hours and it was pretty painful - the longer you sit the more irritating it is to sit through the pain, I find...it's becomes dead to you pretty fast! But it's so worth it, especially a piece that means…

  • Holy flip - I feel the EXACT same way. The only advice I can give is to just try to ENJOY what you're doing - working out, eating healthfully - do it because you like how you feel. I'm 10 lbs away from my goal and I've decided that it's going to come off. It might take a while, but if I'm making smart choices and changing…
  • This is so wonderful!!!! You've EARNED your bragging rights!!! Keep it up - this is such an inspirational post!!! :)
  • I've been having a similar problem - I've been on MFP since December and have lost 10 lbs. I'm not unhappy about it, but I didn't think it would take THIS LONG. I've given my food diary to my nutritionist, who says that my eating is great and I work out a LOT. It's so frustrating and I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! What about sleep?…
  • Whenever I have a day like you're describing, if I don't work out, I end up feeling worse and guilty and just plain gross...but if I just suck it up and do something, ANYTHING - even if it's just taking a walk with my ipod blasting my favorite music, I end up feeling a million times better. Focus less on getting your…
  • Since it's summer - I love love love grilled veggies (peppers, asparagus, etc) so that's always a great option with chicken - also I like to experiment with salads and make them as filling as possible. Taco salad is my fave - with extra lean ground beef/turkey/chicken with low sodium taco seasoning, lettuce, peppers,…
  • fruit dipped in nutella (if I'm dying for chocolate) or almond butter really does it for me if I need something sweet at night. I'm also all over the special K fruit crisps...they're like pop tarts only like 100 cals...delightful. I'm totally going to try the cinnamon apples though...they sound amazing!!!
  • My 2 1/2 year old is obsessed with pizza, so I make them on whole wheat pitas with healthy ingredients so that we're both happy :) Those cookbooks sound amazing though - I need to try to get him to eat more variety - although THANKFULLY, he loves veggies like broccoli, avocado and tomatos :) Good luck!!!
  • Congratulations!!! I agree, you don't need to change your cals, just ensure that you keep eating healthy and that you eat when your hungry. Always tell your doctor EVERYTHING, they'll be able to tell you for sure how many calories you should be eating, but when I was pregnant with my son, my doctor said not to change…
  • Definitly add some variety, use heavier weights/add weight if you're not using any, look up different types of exercises for those muscle groups. I like looking through women's fitness magazines - they've got different workouts every month so you never get bored :) Good luck and I hope you figure out how to make your legs…

  • Well, as much as it sucks, shovelling IS a pretty good workout :) But yes...this is SO DEAD TO ME!!!
  • I make spaghetti squash all the time!!! I LOVE it!!! I make it just like regular spaghetti with meat sauce (turkey, extra lean ground beef, etc) and sauce and my son LOVES it!!! I've also made it to go with stir fry - black bean sauce, chicken, veggies and then use the squash instead of noodles or rice and it's pretty darn…
  • OMG - Thank you!!! This looks so good, I'm going to make it tomorrow night!!! :)
  • This is PERFECT!!! I feel the EXACT same way - I have no desire to be super thin...I want to reach a healthy weight that makes me feel comfortable in my own skin :)
  • I agree with the other posts - just try to keep yourself busy, go for a walk, write your feelings down, call a friend - like any habit, it won't be easy at first, but you just have to make a new habit for yourself, you know? I can definitely relate - I grab whatever I can get my hands on when I'm emotional or even just…
  • Good call - this site is amazing and I know you and your husband will be sucessful!!! My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years and have an almost 3 year old son - we're trying for #2 next spring - I'm waiting because I'm still trying to get to a weight that I'm comfortable with and want to ensure I keep up…
  • YESS!!! I've got so much DMB on so many playlists...on long runs, I love having "crash into me" playing...but the remix version with incubus...I just love it. Also, listening to their live concerts when I'm running is awesome.
