  • Don't give it up if you are a person that can drink in moderation. I personally have found that I don't drink as much beer and go straight for shots. A "good" beer can be upwards of 150-200 calories a bottle. A shot is usually between 55-75 calories. Easy decision for me :)
  • Personally, I stopped cooking with oils all together. I use an unsalted chicken broth if I need extra moisture in a pan. I have great pans, so stuff doesn't stick to begin with, but if I want assistance softening, caramelizing, or keeping things from scorching at high heat, I go for the chicken stock. And considering its…
  • If you love the almond milk, you should keep raw almonds handy. I like them so much better than their roasted, salted counterparts. I have also been blown away by Flatout flatbreads. They are bigger than most tortillas, have more to them, and are only 90-140 calories based on whether you get the light flatouts, or regular…
  • Raw almonds aren't bad. Its the roasted salted ones that rack up the calories. I can have a small handful of them and only have about 50 calories in my hand. And if your going to binge on something, its better to be the stuff I posted then sweets and junk food regardless. I think you missed my point.
  • Don't worry about weighing yourself every day. If you don't follow a routine on weigh in days/nights before, your weight will never truly be trackable. I know that I personally have a pretty set routine for the evening before the days I weigh in. I don't eat or drink anything after 7PM. I do my workout sometime around 8-9,…
  • I can personally vouch for her Chicken Adobo... Its delicious!
  • Sounds good! I will definitely have to give that a try.
  • Honestly, I love the Salad Spritzers. They have several flavors and they are 1 calorie per spray. Also, Kraft makes a Ceaser Italian that is only 20 cal per 2 Tbsp that is pretty good.
  • Thanks for the kind words everyone! I put a picture from Christmas on as my new profile pic so you guys can see my motivation! I think I was right around 22 pounds lost around there. Again, thanks everyone!
  • Big fan of Amber Boch Yeungling Shock Top I live in Central Montana and we have some incredible local places around here. An Incredible Beltian White from Belt, MT. A Great Jalapeno Ale in Great Falls, MT. They stopped making my favorite beer of all time though. Anybody remember or ever have a Tequiza?

  • I personally like my full James Bond DvD collection...
  • I don't think its possible to read through that without turning up the volume inside your head, hah. And a lot of those Meme's worked pretty well, hah.
  • I just recently got my own digital kitchen scale and I love it. It can weigh up to 16 lbs, and has a fairly large weighing area (about 7x7) so that I can pretty much always see the screen. Weighs in grams, ounces, and pounds. Got it at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I have seen good models in Target as well. Definitely worth…
  • I just like showing that someone like me who is very heavy can do it smart and healthy, while still eating great tasting food that is lower cal.
  • Thanks! Definitely worth the investment to get a machine in your own home. Keeps you from having those days where you don't want to go to the gym. We don't have an excuse anymore!
  • I can give you 3 bits of advice here. And i'm no expert, but they have helped me stay full all day with 1200-1500 calories. 1) Start the day out with a lot of your carb/protein allowance. They will help you stay full longer, and give you the energy to deal with that grandkid! 2) Water water water. A lot of people…
  • I just weighed in today at 30 lbs lost in 32 days. I have a LOT more to lose than you do, but with a great diet, and great exercise, its definitely possible. I'm eating 1500-2000 cals a day and burning between 800-1500 off from exercise. Just make sure that when you do work out, don't finish the day at a negative net. That…
  • Ditto to that, the week of Christmas, I actually weighed in at a 4.2 lb loss if I remember correctly, hah. Well done sir, well done!
  • If you are wanting a super low cal dressing, try the 1 cal per spray spritzers. I can eat a huge salad and only have to use 10 sprays or so... 10 calories of balsamic vinaigrette glory! Your local grocery store should carry some of these, but if not, here is a link to amazon for them.…
  • Easiest recipe ever! Go to nearest grocery store, purchase Boca veggie burgers. Cook on skillet for 5 min each side. Enjoy! Seriously though, I would be interested if anybody posts a recipe on here. The Boca's are good, but I wouldn't mind trying making one from scratch.
  • If you can't help but get something to eat, make a green salad. No cheese, meat or eggs. Just a bunch of spinach, romaine, maybe some cut up carrots and use just a little low cal dressing. (I use a 1 cal per spray spritzer) You can have a huge late night snack, and only rack up about 40 calories.
  • I know I eat Shiritaki noodles which is 0, so that I can enjoy meals that I couldn't usually have on a lower calorie lifestyle. People who eat only 0 calorie foods without anything added, that I don't understand.
  • Shiritaki noodles, while they by themselves have 0 calories and no nutritional value *besides 1 gram of fiber* make it so that you can enjoy foods you wouldn't normally be able to due to its filler value. Who wants to eat 1 cup of pad thai with real noodles, when you can have 2-3 cups for the same caloric costs with…
  • My wife and I personally prefer the 0 cal shiritaki noodles based on taste/smell. They seem to rinse the smell off easier, and they tend to be a little thinner, which makes the texture more like regular pasta. (I love their texture so that part doesn't matter to me) The secret is definitely rinsing them long enough to get…
  • Cut the top of broccoli florettes into your egg before you put it in the pan. Same with small diced onion, peppers, scramble some tofu with it. When its almost done, put in a half teaspoon of Hoisin sauce and a dash of your favorite hot sauce. Throw it in a low cal tortilla or on a 110calorie bagel thin. Good breakfast
  • Seems nice
  • Thanks for posting! Will absolutely be making this in the near future!
  • Definitely want to try this. Love shiritaki noodles, and love Jab Chae. I just haven't found a good recipe to make them together yet. Our local Chinese restaurant has a tiny Korean menu and both Bulgogi and Jap Chae are on there and it WAS going to be my cheat day meal. Not anymore!
  • After you rinse them thoroughly, drain them, and put them in a dry saute pan and cook on high for 5+ minutes until the outside of the noodles are completely dry. It finishes taking the fishy smell off the noodles and slightly changes the texture so that they are more appealing for the average person.
  • I posted my lower cal, but super tasty seafood pho recipe on the recipes board. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/826016-vietnamese-seafood-pho Again, not Korean, but definitely get some pretty good asian flavors!
