  • This is what i'm trying to start doing today. I've lost weight before using Ideal Protein but hated the side effects and learned nothing about healthy eating. Also lost about 15LB on Weight Watchers but am on a tight budget so don't want to spend the $30/month on a membership. Right now I'm just tracking everything i eat,…
  • I'm 30 and have approximately 40# that I need to shed , feel free to add me, I need accountability!
  • Although I tumbled headlong off the bandwagon, I did manage to lose 20+ lbs a few years ago (yes, it was a diet, and I didn't learn to eat later) and something that I am incorporating this time around is thinking of it as a substitution program. i'm substituting my junk food (butterfingers and twin bings) with cherries and…
  • Congratulations! 2 Sizes that's amazing :D much woot and weee! for you :)
  • I'll join! sending myself the pic to remind myself to do it starting tomorrow :)
  • Thanks so much everyone! Day two of tracking has been a success!
  • Thank you both for your support! I know I CAN do this, one day at a time :)
  • I was researching the "horrible" chemical additives, the diwhatever stuff is used in ADHD medication, which would explain some of the people finding more energy and focus, and the other phen...whateverwhatever I think was found in phen phen? So this basically sounds like this: 1200 calories / day (see miserable angry…
  • Thanks for this :)
  • Thanks so much for your feedback :) I'm going out of town for 10 days, but bringing my bicycle (yippee!) and am gonna be holding a 2 week old baby a lot, so might use him as my weights for a bit ;)
  • Thanks for your reply!
  • Thanks again to everyone :) I think it could be due to like, stolkholm syndrome or something. DH work together and I'm not particularly social, so I don't go see friends or family very often. I was up visiting our good friends this past weekend, who finally have a schedule conducive to me hanging out with my gal pals, and…
  • Thank you all for your advice. I should clarify that my husband does not call me fat. He says if I want to lose the weight I need to eat healthy. For me to eat healthy, I need homecooked meals. My husband does not cook normally. I eat the same food as him for dinner and go out for lunch with him. Yes he is controlling and…
  • You are so inspiring :D Great job!!!
  • You look great!!! Are you doing food + exercise?
  • Thank you for posting this today Heather! I can't tell you how glad I am that I read this, today's been one of those weigh ins that make you say "awe, dammit". Saving this post to read on my low days :) Kara

  • I didn't realize how convenient it was to work so close to home, the city I'm is only about 20 miles wide total, so realistically it's impossible to have a super long commute :) Still, it's a beautiful sight, this morning I saw baby geese by the water and a deer ran right across the bike path in front of me, it was…
  • Thanks so much everyone! I was reading up on how to calculate your caloric burn and hope to stick within that range for my estimate. I do not have a heart rate monitor but hope to save up for a month or two and get the women's Polar F7 :)
  • You look amazing! This is so inspirational, you are amazing!
  • Alright, new theory, eat back enough calories to stay around 1200? Or should I just go all out, eat back all my total calories for a few weeks and see how it goes?
  • Thanks all! I'm hitting the grocery store tonight, making Chocolate Chip Meringue cookies, Peanut Butter Flourless cookies (which are epic btw) and gonna try the betty crocker GF mix and also get a package of chocolate pudding to add to it. Thanks for the tips and I'll get back to you with the results on Thursday!
  • Thanks all, I totally feel like a champ :-) of course I botched my lunch but will be at my target calories for the day still, so it's all good

  • Thanks craig. My boss doesn't need to watch his calories, he's like 150 lbs soaking wet, he rides a bicycle to work every day which is like 15 miles each way, and then eats all super healthy at home (his kids are on the hefty side due to hypothyroidism so they cook extremely healthy and low fat at home). We don't have…
  • NSV today: Went to Qdoba for lunch and skipped the tortilla, got a "naked" burrito instead, hooray!
  • My husband and I pay a "Self+Spouse" rate of $104/month and that includes unlimited classes, access to the pool, therapy pool, sauna, steam room, hot tubs, locker rooms and all the equipment. I'm starting to look at Fitness Blender online for workout videos at home so I can supplement my gym time as well.
  • Unfortunately we all hold it where we fold it...er, sort of. Each person has a genetic predisposition to where he or she will store body fat. For me, it's my thighs, love handles and lower portion of my waist primarily. Unfortunately that is the LAST bit of reserve the body will have for fat, and holds onto it the most.…
  • I've gained accountability through MFP >> My diary is public, so if I'm cheating one day, the whole world is gonna know it! I'm also not afraid of strength training or the gym anymore. Hooray!
