I don't photograph my food and it's not always pretty, but I like fruit and granola. Sometimes I have eggs, cereal or whatever, but usually it's fruit and granola. :)

Eat healthy. That's my plan and it works for me. :) I don't know how big of a kick you want to start with.

Peanuts are a yummy choice! Enjoy! You could also just undereat today and then indulge tomorrow. I go up and down, depending on the day. Many people do. Just depends on how you want to do it. :)

Candy, cookies, cake, pie, ice cream, peanuts, peanut butter, dried fruits, fruit juice, pizza, cheeseburgers and French fries.

I haven't, but I'm a big fan of twelve stepping because it's helps so many people. This has come up on the boards before and (like everything else) some people are big fans while others couldn't stand it. :)

Eat right, exercise and get enough sleep!

Thanks for updating that. Saved me the trouble of trying for myself. :)

If you aren't losing, you need to eat less, move more or both. If you're in the pic, you look fantastic already and don't need to worry about losing anything. :)

Every family is different. You know best how to handle yours. My family was (for the most part) exceptionally supportive of my new habits. There was some teasing about rabbit food, turning up of noses and saying that meals I cooked smelled "like possum", but that's my family, lol. They still ate their stuff, but didn't…

It's so weird. If you let jello warm up, it's a little like that - before it's liquid, but after it begins breaking down and isn't solid. Thicker and heavier, obviously, but it really feels like that. It's very loose and you can feel watery fat that is..."squishy" is really the best word for it. When it happens, I keep…

If you're not gaining or losing' then you're eating the right amount of food and it's not a problem! :) If you're gaining, though, you'll have to make some changes. Either eat less during the day or break the bad habit of eating at night. Sometimes, when is just want to snack but don't really have calories for it, I'll…

I plug this book so often, but it's a wonderful book... "The New Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone." The recipes are simple, there are a ton of them and many of them are really yummy. I've bought a lot of veggie books and this one was my first...and still my favorite. So many good ideas. Even if you don't really love a dish,…

I had a rough day yesterday. So many donuts near me and for some reason, I really wanted one...then a friend talked about an Oreo binge she had and I wanted those. Weak day. Don't know what the issue was there. I hope the Willpower Elves filled up my bucket through the night because I used it all up resisting treats. :)

Some people swear by not eating at night. You can eat late and still lose weight, but if you would rather not, then don't. Either way. :)

It was more of a light-hearted deal than a serious post - of course. People either truly didn't understand that or they think that pretending not to understand it makes someone else look stupid. Those extra calories did me no good, lol. Same weight today as yesterday.

If you're really worried, you could can your own food. It's cheap and you can make things exactly the way you want them, so all kinds of goodness. You can even reuse the jars. :)

They generally include the juice. Unless there is something for "drained", everything in the can is included. Even if you weighed and consumed all the beets and juice, it would still be an estimate. It's all estimates. You cannot know exactly how many calories are in anything you're eating. You just do your best and tweak…

I was looking forward to the total and was disappointed that your fellow shoppers prevented you from getting it. Good idea, though! :)

Frozen fruits and veggies are cheaper than fresh produce. Dried beans are way cheap. Buy meat on sale and freeze it! Use the bones to make your own stock - better (by a lot) than store-bought and costs nothing but the cost of using the stove. :) You might already know that, but just in case you didn't. :)

Salad? Check the menu, see what fits your plan. :)

Sounds like a great plan. Good luck! :)

I usually use stock instead of oil to cook things. Often, I throw the onion in first and that lubes things up well enough that I don't need anything. There is very little that I need to actually fry with oil. Fat-free dairy is an easy-peasy way to cut calories. I make my own bread. Home-made whole wheat bread is a million…

If you're gaining weight, you need to eat fewer calories, exercise more or both.

Don't spend money for that. Those scales cannot tell what % of you is fat. The idea to weigh at night to help you get used to fluctuations isn't a bad one, but the body fat scales aren't worth it.

I'm way too old for any school, but if you stick to your calorie goals, you will lose weight, no matter how busy you are. Good luck in school and on your weight loss journey. :)

I'm not sure if you're attempting to be kind or cruel. Please clarify.
