I cycled 7.6 miles after work in 29 min and it gave me 173 Ave hr 122.

Haha! Correct - no idea where "woodruff" came from.
-
Thing is - when someone here says they've started a diet cutting out this and that - the reaction is typically - will it be sustainable in the long run? I have no intention of giving up my home brew or craft beers in the short run, let alone the long run. So I have learned to be more moderate in my intake.

Recently discovered Woodruff Reserve Bourbon. Tulip scotch tasting glass, ice cube, fill to top of cube - sip. 70cal. yummy.

I found that if I watched TV in the evening - I would want to have a beer in hand until the program was over. So I stopped watching TV. Seriously though. Drinking too many beers and eating too much food is what put the weight on. Cutting down on both is what's taking it off. cheers

A good point - mine is set at lightly active.

in 5 days?
-
Looks to me as if your step goal is set too low - at 6000 and you did 10K+ maybe that's why it's giving you extra? Mine is 11590 and I only get extra cals after that - and sometimes not even then 16,3444 yesterday and no adjustment.
-
I thought the same - but if you look at MFP it breaks out the way Garmin "gives" the workout calories and it doesn't double count.
-
Well. That went well.

I'm a home brewer and someone posted a recipe for a beer with peeps in it. No, just no.

16 min AND 22 sec to walk 1 mile. It's your speed.
-
As someone else pointed out - weightloss isn't linear - 1lb is nothing!
-
Have you tried MFP? I hear it's pretty good.

Make one small change. Do ten push ups every morning. After a couple of weeks add a second exercise. After a couple of more weeks a third. Build yourself a routine and stick to it. Get a calendar for the wall and put a big check mark for every day you do your routine. After it becomes habit - change it up - do push ups…

yeah - apparently Canadians want more pasta per serving. (I'm in BC)
-
For me - weighing pasta showed me that 84g per serving is about twice what I actually need to eat. I weigh out that amount for the two of us and then add whatever sauce. When you first take the plunge and start weighing food - it is certainly an eye opener for some foods. I'm looking at you cheese, almonds, trail…

Because my cat is much more interesting to look at than I am - and what the hey........

This ^^^^^ is awesome!

No, no it won't. If you are eating at a deficit you are fine. You just may feel full for a longer period.

13.1 miles for a 1/2 running 37.5 km walking the Three Peaks Walk in Yorkshire, England when I was 12. Took 11 hours. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorkshire_Three_Peaks

I've had my Garmin Vivosmart HR exactly one week and I love it! No issues with syncin for me.

I stand corrected - sounds revolting. "Gather fresh clean snow into the pans and leave them outside in the cold. In a small saucepan, stir the molasses and sugar together over medium heat with a rubber spatula. Heat the mixture to 245 degrees Fahrenheit (firm ball stage), stirring frequently. Use a candy thermometer to…

Pretty sure you're thinking of maple syrup. Molasses is the stuff left in the bottom of the machine after refining white sugar "The most common forms of molasses are made from either sugar cane or sugar beet juice which is boiled down to a syrup. Sugar crystals are extracted from the syrup, and the remaining dark liquid is…

2.03 mi this am - total for April 6.1 mi. Love my treadmill!
-
Hi all - I'm Simon. Do most of my running on a treadmill - which is cool as I enjoy it. I live at the top of a hill and every way home is uphill. Have completed a half, 10ks and 5ks in the past. Not sure if I'll sign up for anymore races - currently just trying to stay healthy after six months of rotating injuries - not…

Hi all! - Late to the party - new to the group. No mileage goal in mind, but want to run three times/week. Hoping to stay healthy after a winter of rotating injuries. 1/4 - 2.19 mi 4/4 - 1.92 mi cheers

I think there are some people on this thread who don't really understand what the word "omnivore" means.....................
