  • I know the feeling! Stopped exercising this past month and the very slight hint of abs is lost yet again. On a positive note I watched what I was eating and only put on like a kilo. Went walking today and I need to get back into exercise mode...mmm!!
  • Absolutely not a fan of waking up early on work days to work out. I exercise on work days anytime between 8 and 9pm. I enjoy it, gym is not so busy and it relaxes me after busy day.
  • If I am mentally tired then I try to push myself to go to the gym....but if I am physically tired on top then I will not manage. I give myself two free days a week.
  • Thank you all for the replies! I will keep focused on what I am doing and will also look into the Stronglifts 5X5. Measured myself this morning and my hips were 1.5 inches less than some months ago so this means some progress! Must also check my body fat %.
  • I finally managed a complete workout from NROWL .....after six attempts :)
  • Wow you look stunning! Very inspirational....I have just started NROWL and these stories keep me motivated. I am in stage 1 still so long way to go.....!
  • I have just done the same as of this week. I have been using MFP for four months whilst exercising on average 30 mins a day. I lost around 2 kilos, but I expected better improvements overall. Will see how it goes now with a smaller calorie intake!
  • I need to do the same. I had a bad week but in terms of fitness...still maintained my calorie intake goal but I only exercised once versus at least 5 days a week. Just felt tired and could not be bothered...bit I will start again tomorrow!
  • Same here - I am now almost 38 and am noting the same.I have reduced my tea intake to 2-3 cups a day, eliminiated the sugar, drinking less red wine, max one glass a week and eating less bread (which I love) and sticking to a small treat a day such as one or two oreo cookies versus bigger desserts . It takes time....but…
  • I track everything diligently including the cups of teas :) I have not weighed anything but try to look for descriptions that make it easier for me to guess - example a cup of steamed vegetables versus an actual weight. However I believe that the calories from the exercises on MFP are inflated...I may invest in a HRM to be…
  • Just the kind of thread I was looking for - since January 3rd I have started tracking my calorie intake and working out. On average I would do 30-40 minutes of Jillian Michaels workout 5 times a week. My calorie intake is set at 1490 daily, I am sure that I was consuming at least 1700 - 1800 most days before tracking. I am…
  • Good question - I am also open to new snack ideas during lunch hours! I am into low fat Greek yogurt, all sorts of fruits, herbal teas, almonds and rice cakes. I have picked up some nice ideas from the suggestions above.....thank you!
  • Did this last month and enjoyed it - very challenging. Will finish Ripped in 30 this week but I did not like the workout as much. I plan to repeat 30DS sometime soon..!

  • good question :) I do not log gum, low fat jam or olive oil dressing....for the rest I log everything!
  • Had a lovely rib eye with all the trimmings and a glass of wine...ate all my calorie goals as well as the extras I gained through exercise. No worries, it is Friday and I will workout extra over the weekend :)
  • WOW - you look fab. How did you get such a toned tummy....any tips? Thanks!
  • Hi All - I just completed 30DS less than two weeks ago. I started Ripped in 30 after a 2 day break, finished week 1 of RI30 and today started week 2. I am not sporty at all but have enjoyed the JM workout challenges. Learnt about the Shred on MFP. Have seen some toning around my tummy since starting....and feel so much…
  • Most probably from Amazon.
  • Same here - I found with level 3 that I could not do all of the advanced moves as I did in levels 1 and 2. I also like the results I got with this workout and will try it again in the future. best wishes as you complete 30DS!
  • Hey - I found the workouts through google on a website called vimeo.com. Not sure of the quality but am going to give it a try. If not then I would be happy to buy JM DVDs, I like the 30DS a lot and look forward to trying more of her workouts.
  • Sent you a friend request. Starting Ripped in 30 on Monday the 18th of February. Everyone is most welcome to join - the more the merrier! Good luck to all as you continue your fitness journey :)
  • That would be great - we can motivate each other! I will finish 30DS on 15/02 and plan to start RI30 on 18/02 - taking the weekend off :) Will contact you directly! Thanks
  • Thanks for sharing your experience....I love MFP for that....have learnt so many new things about food and exercise! My weight loss goal is 5 kilos but I need to tone up so RI30 sounds just what I need. I found 30DS level 1 slightly demanding but it did get easier and I enjoyed the challenge tremendously. Looking forward…
  • Enjoying level 3 too. Just completed day 5 today and I also tried level 1 of Ripped in 30. I am motivated by seeing that I could be in the same shape I was almost 13 years ago....before I had my daughter :) :) Have not done exercise regularly in all this time!!!!

  • Same here - no significant weight loss since starting the 30DS and tracking calories....my overall goal is to lose 5kilos and specifically tone up my body. However I have seen a noticeable difference in my tummy....definitely flatter and very slightly more toned. But I do feel much better , am sure I will see a bigger…

  • I am now on day three / level 3 of the 30ds. Have not lost any weight but am certainly toning up....I love the workout and am planning to start RI30 after a one or two day break. It is also the first time ever that I consistently follow an exercise routine. Definitely recommend it.
  • Wow - I cannot presently imagine lifting anything heavier than 1kg....but in the future maybe  My workload will increase significantly in the next two months. Hope I will still find and make the time to do the workouts.

  • Hello La ChinaDoll I have started 30DS level 3 today - it is tough and I need to check out the moved again as I lost some time trying to keep up. It is the first time ever that I have followed this kind of workout although I have been going to the gym to do some cardio on and off for the last 3 months. I am planning to…
