I take iron in capsule form because it's easier on the stomach. I'm not sure about a full multivitamin but with iron supplements it's good to take it on an empty stomach with orange juice to help absorption.

Rice, batter, and deep fried meat. Try to avoid foods that have heavy, sweet sauces and where the meat is coated in batter or cornstarch and then fried. Lemon chicken, general tso chicken, etc... A favorite of mine is broccoli beef, as the beef tends to be just stir fried and not coated in anything.

My dermatologist prescribed me rogaine for women for my thinning hair. I also have problems with low iron which may be causing the hair loss, along with the weight loss over the past couple of years. My GP has also prescribed an iron supplement. I've been using for only a month or so, so it's not really long enough to see…

I sometimes make my own homemade 'egg mcmuffin'. Pre-preparing the night before, I'll slice my english muffin and wrap it, cut a slice of turkey bacon in two and wrap it in foil, and put the slice of cheese in the bag too. In the morning before I leave, I'll do my egg. I'll crack one egg and one egg white in a coffee mug,…

My calorie goal was never that high and I started nearly 400 lbs. Do you have your activity level set at the proper level? I was always at sedentary level and then logged activity separately in the exercise log. I was never more than 2100.

Could be a swolen gland or lymphnode. I had one surgically removed from underneath my ear about 15 years ago. You should get it looked at as they'll have to biopsy it to make sure it's not cancerous. My exam involved them putting a camera down my throat to look at it from the inside, a needle biopsy, and then surgical…

Egg Mcmuffin, no cheese. 240 calories.

An sausage & egg mcmuffin with no cheese & a coffee w/ 1 milk. Not the best breakfast but it's guaranteed to keep me full until lunch.
-
It's probably arugula.
-
Define normal breakfast? lol :)

I had corn flakes with 1% milk and 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese. I recommend cottage cheese for protein if you can handle the bland-ness of it. Some people like to mix fruit in, but I prefer it by itself.
-
I try to include protein every breakfast to jump start me on making my goal for the day. Cottage cheese/eggs are the way to go. If I'm lacking in protein and it's dinner time already, I will defrost a big ol' chicken breast for dinner, and that usually bumps me up high enough for the day. As for snacks, try string cheese.…

Some of them taste quite nice but they're not worth the price, for me. The fruit flavor ones aren't so good, imo, bu the chocolate ones are OK. But not worth 4 bucks a bar. If I want chocolate I have me a fibre 1 brownie, and I pay $3 for the whole box, rather than just one bar.
-
For me the are not worth the cost/calories. I picked up a box of their WW chocolate covered brownies not long ago and they were so tiny, it was barely larger than a Pot of Gold chocolate. And like $4 for a box of 6 as well. Way too expensive. For a sweet treat, I go for special K crisps. Around 100 calories and lots of…

We're all addicted to food. We have to eat every day or we'll die. You have to just stop. There's no hint or trick that I can give you to make you not pick up those cookies. You have to be disciplined with yourself. You've taken the first step by creating a MFP account. Work out your calorie recommendation based on your…

When rich hollywood ladies get old, they pay plastic surgeons to inject fillers into their face to get their face to look full like yours.

I'm a bit hesitant on these walden farms items. What on earth is in them so that they have zero calories?
-
Newfie here. Not big into Hockey but I do have a Habs t-shirt for when I want to fit in.

Canadian as well. I typically go to Costco for produce. You can't beat their prices on produce. They also have big packs of beef jerkey, and also 12-packs of Naan bread that I use to make mini pizzas. They also usually have great prices on yogurt (greek and normal)

For me, while diet soda is calorie free, was a trigger food that made me want to eat other not-so-good things. So it had to go.

Geez... is this high-carb vegan movement like jehovah's witnesses or something? Like... *knock, knock* Excuse me, do you have a moment to talk about how eating 100 bananas a day is a good idea?
-
For me, unless I was poaching in oil I would let it slide.

I also use Torani sugar free syrup, and I can find it at the supermarket in the coffee aisle. I gradually weaned myself down from 2 cream 2 sugar in my coffee to just 1 milk, and sometimes I use the syrup. Last week I treated myself to a container of Cinnabon coffee creamer, but it's 35 calories for 15ml... 15 ml is not…

I eat processed foods every day and am losing weight. Am I breaking the laws of science here?
-
Potatoes. I don't care who says carbs are the devil.
-
Peanut butter.
-
I find it ironic that their company name includes the word 'Farm', possibly to make them sound more natural or something... Their food has to be full of processed chemicals and stuff to make it low or zero calorie.
-
Just take how many grams of ice cream that shows on the label of a full pint, then subtract that from how much the pint, container and all, weighs on the scale. The difference will be the weight of the container.

Started 390 down nearly 120 lbs so far. Feel free to add me.

Feel free to add me. I still have about 70 lb to go, but I've lost 120 lb already. My diary is open for anyone to sniff around. I've had a not-so-good summer and am looking to get back to work.
