I'm Cory, nice to meet everyone here. I need to lose ~200 pounds. I've previously lost around 110 and got down to 235, but I've gained it all back plus some. So here we go again...feel free to add me!

"Cheating" for me is taking a day or two, maybe a weekend, eating at maintenance. The bigger your calorie deficit is, the safer a "cheat day" is. If you are trying to lose those last few stubborn pounds, a slip up on a cheat day can wipe out all your progress for the week.

Dude I was around 375lbs in 2014, and got down to 235 in 2016 and felt fantastic. If you feel good you shouldn't stress about losing the extra 9 lbs. However, you should keep your exercise going. I made the mistake (because of external factors) of letting go completely and gained it all back. So here I am in 2022 staring…

Excellent work! Many people (especially women) don't like and don't understand the value of lifting!

Calves, Forearms, Quads, Back, Upper arms, stomach. I've already got some definition in my arms and legs, but the weight comes off the torso last, unfortunately...

Congratulations! It's funny. I recently posted a "half-way-there" success story and I also have 74 more pounds to lose!
-
Thank you all for the kind words and continued support!

You keep it up man! You put in work, you'll get the results. Just don't kill yourself doing it, and realize that it will take time. Don't get discouraged because it isn't going as fast as you want. When I was looking for XL shirts to try on, I scrounged around forever and only found 3, and two of them weren't even mine!…

Thank you so much guys! Still a work in progress, but good health is a lifelong journey. I personally don't log food anymore because I'm pretty boring, and unless I go out to eat (rare), I eat the same things every week. So I pretty much know my calorie intake already. If I cook a new dish that I've never had before, I'll…

Haven't refreshed in a while, but still going strong! Have a great week full of many victories!
-
If I make something I've never had before, I will count and log it. But I usually only make new things for special occasions. These days I don't count or log very much.

Honestly, as hard as it may seem, you don't want to take days off for the first month or two, if you have a choice. That time period seems to be the hardest to get through, and you are very vulnerable to falling back into old habits. For me, the breaking point was/still is taking care of my granddad. He has Alzheimer's,…

We made it through another week, excellent job folks!

New day, new jouney! If you need motivation or a friend go ahead and add me!

Some tips that have worked with me. And this is my personal experience and your circumstances may be different: 1) Reduce activities that you associate with eating. For me, when I binged Netflix, I binged food. 2) If this has been a recent development that started since you started your lifestyle change, you may not be…

Firefly would always win, because Sony sucks (Xbone FTW!). And Blasphemy! Harry Potter has always been cool!

Today I am down a notch on my belt and (barely!) fit into one of my favorite shirts!

I've got about 110lbs to lose! I'm with you all the way!

I provide motivation and inspiration everyday!

Down a notch on my belt today. Progress.

Bump for a new day!

Obviously, on "overeating days" you shouldn't eat enough to negate all of your progress for the week. Another thought, If you are cutting your calories by too much, you are going to have stronger urges to splurge. The key to these lifestyle changes that we are making is sustainability. If it can't work for the rest of your…

I use to be that way, but I have two days a week planned out in which I can eat over the limit I set for myself. It is obviously still planning, but since I know I have two days where I can "overeat" I have been doing a lot better. Also, I try to limit activities that I used to associate with eating. the biggest one being…

This past week I discovered that I can now fit into all the jeans I own, and I can once again fit into my favorite T-Shirt! That just means from here on out I will have to buy new clothes!

Good *kitten* dude, you're such a monster!
-
Also, tattoos. I've always had some that I wanted to get, but never while I'm obese. I don't want my body to change so much that it screws up whatever ink I get.
-
I'm sure I will treat myself to something at some point, but for now fitness and compliments are their own reward.
-
I've quit drinking almost altogether (still have some on special occasions). Now that I'm more in tune with my body than I've even been, I feel extra *kitten* (physically) after having a few drinks. After all, alcohol is actually toxic.

I am on my second week of c25k. The first couple weeks are hell, because your body is getting used to it, but in my experience it gets easier. And I'm sure everybody has beat this horse to death, but stop thinking about it and just do it!

Anytime love, that's why we're here.
