    You are amazing, girl! Identifying the root of our actions is perhaps the most important victory in the whole process! It takes enormous courage and will to survive to be that honest to yourself and you did a great job there! Weight loss and gain freedom is only a natural consequence!     Sara, I think you are brilliant and I love your honesty. I lost about the same about 10 years ago and had the same problem with loss of identity. I didn't fix it then so I am losing the same weight again! I think you are absolutely right to recognise the we focus too much on the food and exercise fix, and not enough time preparing for the psychological impact of changing shape. We have to learn to eat healthily, but we also have to learn how to be 'normal' sized, and everything that means in terms of how other people treat us.
