Yup! I just wrote a thesis for my degree about physical activity and this is generally accepted as the division of activity levels. If anyone wants, I can post the link to the study that decided these numbers which was based on a meta-analysis of a huge number of studies

Myfitnesspal deleted half of my comment! :/ I was saying whenever I have errands to run outside I make sure I walk and if possible go to the furthest place possible to get it done. For eg if I need to go food shopping, I have plenty of shops on my road less than 200 steps away, but I go to the market 30 minutes away to get…

I too get 2-3k steps a day if I don't make an effort to move. I live in a tiny apartment with 15 steps between the two furthest sides. I have to consciously make the effort to get A LOT of steps in to reach 10k, which I do at least 3 out of 7 days a week, last week I got 10k 5/7 days ☺️ either I go on a long walk for an…

I'm going out to a desert place tomorrow and was thinking of ordering an oreo milkshake *wishfully* thinking it would be a better option than the waffles or icecream. WRONG! I checked and at 1000 calories, its probably the same if not higher than the other options!

Tbh, in my thighs. But I legit don't mind thick thighs so its good. My belly bothers me waay more

Usually when I have something like this, I weight it when its cooked, then subtract the bone weight from the first measurement. But I just read you don't have a scale. It's definitely a good investment and essential for weight loss I would say! Without a scale, I'd log it as a small/medium/large (whatever size it is)…

Lol me too! I end up doing more damage trying to avoid it than if I had just had it in the first place!

My father did this diet. He lost 9kg but gained back 7kg. I wouldnt advise it. Its not healthy, not maintainable and I would assume most of the weight lost would be water weight

Lol at all the comments!!! I usually just let them take it. Its usually my cat wanting the protein or my hubby wanting a bite.

A quick stirfry with 1 cal spray, chopped veggies and shrimp or chicken. Having chopped up veggies on hand really helps keep me on track.

Im a tiny bit over 5"2 and I'm shooting for 130lbs. At the moment I'm 140lbs. The lowest I've been is 135lbs (been yoyoing between these 5lbs for ages) and then my measurements were 37-27-39 so I'd be hoping getting to 130lbs would also give me a 25-26" waist without sacrificing too much of my curves :)

Telling myself I don't NEED to eat what everyone else is eating and just following my plan. Not sure if this counts as a 'habit' :)

Eating my mum's food all the time

I also dislike BBL! Its way too dancey! I just do the High and Tight a couple times a week now because I felt like that one hit my glutes the most. I hate dancey workouts and have no rhythm whatsoever and it really put me off. I'd say if you're beginning to not like working out because of it then leave it. To be fair I…

I've put myself down as sedentary and MFP starts adding calories when I hit 4,000. Im doing a research study on physical activity and I've come across a number of science article saying 2000-4000 steps/day is classed as sedentary :) so it makes sense that mfp starts adding calories when I hit 4000

It is indeed. I rarely say no to free food.

Like said above, a calorie surplus will hinder weight loss, not peanut butter. Having said that, I don't keep peanut butter at home because I'm currently eating 1,200 calories/day and I cant justify using up my calories on peanut butter when I could use the equivilant on something more fibrous and filling

Im 5"2.5, 140lbs. I'm an hourglass but now that I'm heavier its not as exaggerated. When I got married and was about 130lbs my measurements were 37-27-39 and I would love to get back there, although my ultimate aim is to get my waist down to 25 inches. I weigh about 10lbs more than I look, maybe thats because of my muscle.…

I feel like that too. Granted I only have 10lbs to lose but I weigh everything I eat and stay in my calorie allowance but I'm not losing!

Thanks! :)

Ive been trying to lose the last 10lbs for a few months now. I've been swinging between being 7-12lbs away from my GW but now I've committed myself to really being honest with my diet and food tracking, something I know is holding me back. Its difficult! The last few lbs dont fall off easy :/

I listened to my body and didn't have my after dinner chocolate that I usually allow into my calorie intake because I was stuffed and didn't feel like it :) big achievement for someone who used to eat mindlesslessy and without needing to be hungry
-
Actually, I can eat quite a bit because I exercise a lot. My BMR is about 1450 so on a good day when I work out my TDEE goes well above 2000 calories. I was talking about my non-exercise activity. :)

My flat is super tiny too. About 15 steps from one side of the house to the other

I dont actually have a car! Having a car in London is mighty expensive and theres public transport EVERYWHERE here. I do try to avoid taking the bus wherever I can though, saves me money and gets me to move a bit more
