Lucky that's not the case over here and that is not what my eternity ring looks like.

I am an Australia, an eternity ring is traditional here and in Europe I think as my parents are Polish and my mum has an eternity ring. It is usually given after the first year of marriage or when the first child is born. (Our first child was 5 when we got married) but I didn't get my eternity ring until after 6 years of…

My son was around 11 1/2 years old when I let him stay home in daytime hours for short periods of time.

you could just add some cucumber, lemon or mint slices to your water, adds a subtle hint of flavour and negligible calories.

I went out to lunch at a coffee shop and orderes off their "lifestyle choices" menu, which is supposed to be their nice, healthy options. Anyway, when I logged the food it came in just under 1000 calories!!!! (I have 1400 for the whole day and this was 1 meal!) I was not impressed. So I thought I was doing the right thing…

Mine comes from my personalised car registration. WEN is the first 3 letters of my first name but also the initials of my 3 names (first middle last) and 575 is the month and year I was born!

If you are borderline pre-diabetic, you need to choose the sugar free option. My dad is diabetic (on insulin injections) and the specialist told him if he was going to drink "soda" he should have coke/ Sprite zero. You also need to watch your carbs as they break down into sugar!

your waist measurement, typically, is around your navel. Your hip measurement would include your booty, but really as long as you measure the same spot each time, it doesn't really matter.

I haven't told my family and friends (except my husband) I am losing weight, they will know when I am thinner! I find it more motivational that I will surprise everyone by losing the weight. Good luck to you. Keep at it!

sometimes it takes your body a while to "reset" itself to your new regime. If you've only been doing this for a month you might need to give it more time. As you are 50 and had some health issues, your body is probably "out of whack" and it needs to adjust to your new regimen. Just keep going, lots of lovely people here…

sour cola bottle lollies or super fresh bread straight from the bakery.....mmmmmm

keeping your food log open can also show people what to avoid. I took my kids out to lunch the other day and I ordered the item that was supposed to be the "lifestyle" or lower fat option, when I came home and logged it, I discovered it had almost 1000 calories...in one meal??? I have 1400 calories for the whole day! How…

I once heard Oprah say, that feeling of hunger in your stomach late at night is when your body starts eating the fat!!!! Something to think about before reaching for a snack!!!
-
You could eat an apple if its really bad otherwise, just drink water.

I'm from Queensland, just outside Brisvegas!! I'm a 35 y.o mum of 3. My oldest is starting high school this year and my youngest 2 (not twins,10 months apart) will be in year 1.

Good for you. The other thing I find that works for me is if I have something higher in calories or a bit too much, I do extra cardio (jump on the bike, go for a brisk walk, so some star jumps, whatever) I find it helps to balance it out a bit better and then I still get to be a bit "naughty" with food.

I too have stretch marks from the 3 children I carried. However, for me they are not one of the things I worry about. I can't see myself ever wearing as bikini anyway, but I also have a large stomach with a lot of skin, so I am worried about all the loose skin I will have when I lose weight, not the stretch marks. If you…

you don't even need an air popper for healthy popcorn. Just do the kernels in the microwave. (you don't add anything to it just put it in a container with a lid and pop. Just be careful what you add after you've popped it! I also would lose the sugar free stuff and be careful with your cheese, even low fat can be high in…
