A first for me.......

I did something today that I've never done. I knew dinner would be higher in calories than normal, so for lunch I just had a salad! I remained under calories for the day. YEAH for me. Normally, I would of had whatever I wanted and not paid attention to the calories, but with this site.....I 'm accountable!

    Good for you. The other thing I find that works for me is if I have something higher in calories or a bit too much, I do extra cardio (jump on the bike, go for a brisk walk, so some star jumps, whatever) I find it helps to balance it out a bit better and then I still get to be a bit "naughty" with food.

    Since joining MFP, I have started eating salads much more frequently and much larger salads. I like eating, not going to lie. And, I like that I can eat a BIG salad and it doesn't cost me that many calories. Ergo, I can still eat a lot more food that day. That may be the wrong mindset, but I think it is a good result.
