Punch-Drunk Love. it was horrible.

Ahh same happened to me today. I haven't been this light since high school :)

thighs... I will trade anyone to lose weight off my chest though, seeing as mine are huge and it seems to be the last place I lose weight :(

Have you seen America's Worst Tattoos? Coverups can be really amazing, if that's the kind of thing you're looking for.

It's mostly psychological I'm sure. You have to somewhat talk yourself down-- "do I really need this right now?" "Am I really hungry, or am I just eating this because I'm bored/upset/whatever your reason is?" If you're honest with yourself and conscious with what you eat, you can overcome it. Good luck :)

How amazing! It's stories like these that make me want to go buy victory pants or something for when I lose all my weight. :)

@lilawolf: Omg. I knew someone was going to make a pregnant comment!!! I almost said "I never thought I'd be happy to see my period" but then I knew the "then you've never had a pregnancy scare" comments would come in :) @rayvynn5374: I know!! Lol I never thought I'd be happy about it either. Thank you. @peopletalk: I…

The last sentence is basically shaming her for having low self-esteem (beautiful women love themselves, she hates herself, what does that make her?). Wouldn't really go that route either, tbh.
-
It's not a dig at you, so there's no need to take it personally. It's caused by cripplingly low self-esteem. It's kind of silly to be critical of people with low self-esteem instead of understanding. 8/ There is no "intent". It's just her horribly negative thoughts about herself leaking out publicly.

Doable, but a bit of an unrealistic goal, if you ask me. A healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs a week (36 to 72lbs in 9 months). It definitely depends on different factors, like how much weight you have to lose total (someone who weighs 400lbs is going to lose weight much faster than someone who only has 100lbs to lose all…

sauces if i use a very minimal amount, sometimes i will eat a very very small dab of honey if i have a sweet tooth, salt/pepper/spices on foods

I think this is part of the problem. My walking has been pretty leisurely, not really working up a sweat. I should look into interval training, even if it's for something like walking, though I never thought of walking in that way, haha. I never thought about/knew about body weight exercises, either. No equipment needed…

The university's gym is $120 a year unless you're enrolled in one of their fitness classes (which I think is actually more expensive than $120). I used to go to a college that had free access to the gym, but I think it's because it's a small/poor community college, they're trying to get as much income as they can. It's a…

I have been very sedentary for years, I am trying to ease myself into getting more exercise. I've been thinking about starting C25K but I was slightly worried about my weight/height ratio and the damage that it may or may not do based on like one person saying that it might. Which is kinda foolish in retrospect. I'll start…

@bgmgreg: Yes I am inerested (obsessed) with the science of weight loss hahaha. 1636 is a pretty close to the 1550 it has set now. @trogalicious: 15% deficit using scooby's calculator is 1517, which is also pretty close to what I have now. I'll look into couch to 5k if it won't hurt me! Thanks for all your advice. So far,…

I read somewhere that running while morbidly obese can put unneeded stress on the joints/bones. Is this true?
-
I guess that is true as well. I always thought it would just equal out to sedentary because I don't get a lot of exercise otherwise, especially since MFP's light activity description talks about working out 3x a week, if I recall correctly. (Sorry, I'm a bit ignorant on this topic, obviously.)
-
That is a very true point.
-
I'm planning on joining a gym once I am able to get up a bit more money. As it is, I walk a mile or two every other day if I can. (I guess that doesn't mean I'm *completely* sedentary, but as someone who is unemployed, that is pretty much the equivalent to an employed person's sedentary rate.)

Using this:

Yep, just need a deficit. He's just trying to upsell you on something you don't need.

I think it's irresponsible to say for certain that "excess skin will not firm up". This might have been true for you, but it is not true for 100% of all people, and people should look into ways that they can attempt to firm their skin (weight lifting, toning, creams, etc) before they look into surgery. IMHO, surgery should…

Great idea! I need to put that on my fitness to-buy list :)

I only drink water so it's a waste to log it.

But there's no harm to those who DON'T pay attention if they put the numbers for those who DO.

I have a little over 80 to lose, you can add me if you wish xo

You can add me if you want! I'm a college student as well xo
