I'll second that one. Anyone see the article on Yahoo news abotu the women whose menbership was revoked from Planet Fitness because she couldn't stay off of the d@mn thing? Thumb's up for Planet Fitness - my workout is my "me time" and I don't want it hijacked by the airbrain next to me who thinks s/he is so important that…

No thanks! Would love to have Jillian as a personal trainer (and not just via DVD), but I don't want to air my personal baggage for all the world to see and judge!

I'm in...currently 190 (gained a bit over the holidays) and am shooting for a 10 lb loss by Feb 14th. Height: 5'5" Waist: 36" Hips: 42" Goal: To drop from a 14 minute mile half marathon pace to a 13:30 pace by the Cap City Half the first weekend in May. Got the walking regimen down - just need to weight loss to help propel…

I'm in for 75 miles this month. Can anyone tell me how to add the exercise ticker from ticker factory to my profile? Cut and paste isn't working for me.

I like a packet of stevia and vanilla almond milk or rice milk in my coffee in the AM - agreed - can't live without it!

My daily goal will be 12,000. I'm training for the half marathon with a walking club and need my daily mileage at 4 miles not including my long walk on Sundays.

She's really pretty! I don't think I've seen one like that sit still long enough to snap a pic!

Great shoes - btw!

One of the strategies I have found helpful is to put down my fork and take a drink in between bites (my mom always told me to chew every bite 28 times - but that's enough to drive me buggy!)

I'm 42 and have about 35 pounds to lose. I love the online banter and support that comes with MFP :)

I'm in OH - I'm a great cheerleaader and am glad to share support.

You can do this....you need to be healthy (and as un-stressed as you can be) not just for yourself and your health, but for your son. My son is PDD-NOS, and I fight daily with the school, and worry constantly about him. I find that a brisk walk keeps my stress at bay, gives me a pittle peace of mind, AND burns calories…

At 5'5" and a medium frame, I'm looking to land at 150-155 lbs. I'm a bit top heavy (even at a lower weight), so anything less on the scale translates to a really odd look for me.

OMG...I am so with you! When I was a bit younger, I was an elite athlete (in a time where no one really watched the kinds of food we ate). I learned to eat things that gave me quick energy and have dealt my entire adult life with the repercussions of having poor eating habits. Now that I have a more sedentary job, I have…

Craisins, honey, and almonds or walnuts - more protein and more fiber along with the bump in flavor :)

Don't give up what you want the most for what you want in the moment.

Congrats - your hard work (willpower) are really paying off!

The bike that does not take weight, age, and gender into consideration will be inaccurate. The bike at the gym and MFP will be a bit closer. Heart/activity monitor is the best way to calculate calories burned though....

It's not as hot out, so I started making progress on my half marathon training plan - 8 miles in this week with 3 more to be added at lunch today! Woo Hoo!
-
Congratulations - you have a lot to be poud of. :flowerforyou:

Count me in! I have several raaces scheduled with a training plan hanging on my office wall. I've heard that one of the ways to stick to a goal is to be very vocal about it.... Here are my two goals.... 1) Complete the Nationwide Commit to Be Fit Half Marathon (October 21st) averaging under 14 minute miles with a finish…

Do both...you do need the cardio to burn off the fat laying over the muscle, but muscle burns more calories than fat (and keeps burning post-workout). Light to medium weight, but higher reps. You won't bulk up :)

Love this!

Hey, Trish~ Keep your chin up. What's that bumper sticker? - "Mean people suck!" If you've mastered the Wii Fit and Wii Zumba and want to keep changing things up, you might try Self magazine at Self.com. They have toning and cardio suggestions for all fitness levels (even though the models are all uber fit.) I've had some…
