  • Current goal is to no longer need to take blood pressure meds.
  • This is my 2nd round. I'm seeing a difference in my body composition, but not seeing the scale budge. So, I am so glad for the challenge and the support I see in this thread. • I can totally relate. I don't like the way clothes fit and not being fit, but I have tried more times than I can count to get and keep motivated. My DD graduates in late May, and I don't wanna be the chubby mom in the pics. I'm on board, if y'all will give me some tough love and keep me accountable.
  • Hello Keto Kompadres! I am in need of support, tough love, and maybe a little advice. My very sweet spouse booked a couples retreat for our anniversary the weekend of March 22-24. He's asked that I buy some new clothes (most of my wardrobe is business to business casual) What is appropriate resort wear for a 48 yo, curvy,…

  • While I'm not sure if it's considered endurance, I am a fairly seasoned half marathoner. This will be my first winter on keto and training, so I'm glad to work through things with a partner. I've got a race a month scheduled between now and May - 2 5K (Feb, and Mar), a 10K (April) and the half in May.

Dietdoctor.com says drink more water. If I do, I may float…
  • I'm just back in communities again and would be glad to help keep you motivated and accountable. My family is paleo/keto and have experienced some ups and downs with weight loss. This month, I recommitted to the lifestyle and to adding strength training to my walking/training regimen.

  • Thank you for sharing. This is an inspiration to those of us with a good deal to lose!
  • I'm glad to be an encouragement and accountability partner. Have been keto/paleo on and off for a bout a year and can really tell when I am carb-free. Feel better, not bloated, and the weight comes off easier. My goal is 45 pounds down by Jan 1, 2019 and would love to take the journey with others.
  • Hey, Katrina! I have been paleo/keto on and off for about a year. I can definitely tell when I eat too many carbs and feel better and am more able to think clearly when I don't. I'm glad to encourage and be an accountability partner, if you're open to that in return. Lowcarbmaven, dietdoctor, and wickedstuffed are among my…
  • Feel free to add me! I've yo-yo'ed 25 pounds for the least several years, and am getting older so my metabolism needs a kick in the pants! I've got a knee injury that has me sitting more than I'd like, and I need to re-commit to my paleo/keto diet. Would love encouragement and a little tough love!
  • What a great story - thank you for sharing!
  • There's an excitement that comes along with something new. it's not the "same old thing." Good luck in keeping it new one day at a time!
  • If you want to take a look at calorie counts before you go, try this website. It's geared toward WW followers, but also has the calorie counts, fat, fiber, sodium, carbs ,etc that you would track in your food journal through MFP. http://www.dwlz.com/PHP/restaurants.php?ID=applebees
  • Benefits - build long, lean muscle and strong core - Impact - tighter middle and better posture :)
  • I did. Homemade ice cream sandwich cake courtesy of my creative in the kitchen mother-in-law. Good news - cut the square in half and shared with my son and walked 4 miles before the shindig. Didn't eliminate the damage, but certainly decreased it!
  • Bulking up is intentional. You'll be fine, particularly with lower to moderate weights combined with repetition
  • Agree - or any diet that asks you to completey eliminate an actual food group (i.e grains, fruits, dairy, etc) that provides vital vitamins and other nutrients to your body. Common sense says if there is a medical reason (i.e. allergy or a physician-diagnosed health issue) for not consuming a particular food, don't consume…
  • EVOO, sea salt, fresh ground peppercorn blend :)
  • Haven't heard truer words in a long time :)
  • I'm with you on the creamer - love it. My new fave is the Almond Toffee Cream by Bailey's (sadly no alocohl included). Is it the amount you put in one cup of coffee or the number of cups you have over the course of the day? I cut down to just one cup a day (two if I've had a really good workout or am just dragging that…
