Just did B3 last night and I have been dragging my husband to the gym to start lifting with me. I was trying to show him form for deadlifts with his bar/weight and discovered that I was being too easy on myself with my weight. I can totally lift 95 for a full 12 reps, who knew?! It was challenging, but I think I could do…

Also think about trying interval training on it. You can burn more in a shorter period of time and I tend to find it enjoyable to alternate cardio and interval. You can google interval training for more info, but here's one blog post about the differences: http://www.shapingconcepts.com/blog/the-senseless-debate/

^ yes pretty much this! I haven't even tried 45lbs yet, 100 is pretty stellar! And obviously you are pushing yourself to get there so good for you!

Yes, thank you! I think that this trick will really help make step-ups more beneficial :)

Did workout A3 yesterday (second time with actual weight) and definitely got my form down! No more pain in my upper back/spine! The videos on stronglifts.com really helped me understand what I am supposed to be doing when I am on my own. :) Thanks for the suggestion!

Well to be honest, my legs (especially my upper legs) have been pretty sore since A1 and I try not to stretch too much because I am hyper-mobile and I've been told it's good for my muscles to get a little tight. The first 3 days I did the warm-ups and this last workout that hurt I forgot to do them (the ones laid out in…

I miss Tillamook soooooo much, it is so lame that it does not exist on the east coast, or at least I haven't found it yet....yum

Did workout B2 yesterday and I had shooting pain in my legs from the lunges (mostly my hamstrings I think), I tried to put the weights aside and just do BW, but even those were difficult. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on making it so this doesn't happen next time around?

Thank you for sharing this, I found it very helpful!

I sent you a friend request if you would like to look at my diary. I use Gaspari Nutrition Probiotic Chocolate Protein powder and I think it tastes good, but I haven't tried many others yet either. I'm new to the protein powder world.

Thank you! I will check that out.

I just did squats with weights for the first time yesterday and the place where the bar was resting across my shoulders, just above the spine, feels bruised. Did I do something wrong? Or is there some way to avoid this? (I do tend to bruise easily and take extra iron for that reason among others.)

We made this last night and it was delicious! (We made a few minor changes like using plus pasta instead of whole wheat and we couldn't find marinara with no added sugar. Calculating the calories through MFP showed that each serving was about 500 cals, granted the protein was about 31g per serving, I didn't think we…

I'm starting on Monday! I've read the book, love it and can't wait to actually start lifting!

Thank you so very much for sharing! I am about to start doing the workouts in New Rules of Lifting for Women next week and I couldn't be more excited about it! You look amazing!!! (hopefully I will too someday)

You really should be eating those calories back, or else you aren't giving your body sufficient fuel to operate, leading to all sorts of problems (trust me, I know, I've got them, but I'm trying to fix them...) So if your goal for calories is 1500 and you eat exactly 1500 calories in a day, but then you exercise 500 of…
