5:2 is what broke my plateau that lasted a year. I was also injured during this time which didn't allow me to run like I had always done in the past. I run a 26 min 5km 3 to 4 times a week even if it lands on my fast day (generally one run does a week). I think that has really helped push things along. I workout fine on my…

After being on a plateau for a year, as well as injured, I tried 5:2 two months ago. I am down 16 pounds almost at my before kids weight. I don't always stick to my 500 calories closely but I run about 4 days a week 5 km and do weights so I think it balances out. This program worked great for me. I am much more tuned into…

I am 5'11" and before kids I hung out around 135 when I was training for a run and 140-145 when I was just working out and running a few times a week. I am now 158 and I would like to get back down to 145-150. I have a med build. Right now I feel like I still have fluff so I know what you mean.

I am interested in these answers as well. I have been at 159 for months, and I have been training for a half marathon. I upped my calories to 1700 and still have not watch the scale budge. I understand your frustration. Hang in there, maybe some advice on here will help us both :)

I am a stay at home mom as well with a 2 and 4 year old. I am currently training for a half marathon. I have lost 36 pounds so far and I still have about 10 pounds that I would like gone. If you want to be friends for motivation then feel free to add me.

Start with a walk/run program and slow down. Once you get the hang of running you can increase your speed but for now just focus on getting a stride and work on your breathing. Try running one minute and then walking 4 minutes, then slowly increase running and decrease walking. If you are running outside try running…

Shop the outside wall of the grocery store. Rarely go in the middle isle, only the odd time for pasta and rice. There are many isles that I never go down. The fresh healthy stuff is on the outside walls. Stick to them and you will stick to good healthy eating :) Produce, Dairy, Meats, all the fresh stuff is generally not…

I found chai tea a nice treat. I would do it with whole milk, tea bag, and a splash of vanilla (sugar free) and some cinnamon and that got me through the moments when I was really craving it. I really leaned on sugar when I was sleep deprived with my young babies, once they started to sleep I knew that I need to kick the…

If you want some help try googling "I quit sugar" The woman who wrote the ebook is very helpful with a few good tips to get you sugar free without out much pain. Good luck, you will be shocked at how sweet things are once you take out sugar in your diet. I did this for a couple months and it really helped me get rid of my…

I have lost all my weight by running after my two kids. I just joined mfp 2 weeks ago because my number wasn't moving fast enough and I was making some bad food choices. I ran two half marathons last year and I am signed up for on in June. Before kids I could eat what ever I wanted and stayed easily in my lower BMI of my…

The best treat you can make is when you need that sweet treat Bowl of plain yogurt frozen blueberries on top Heat up coconut oil until it turns liquid in the microwave about 20-30 sec Add Cacao or coco powder and a bit of something sweet (rice syrup, maple syrup, honey what ever you are using) Heat it up again for about 10…
