Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, everyone!

Amazing!! You should be so proud!

Excellent idea! Will do.

I am not ripped. I look more like 18%. Feeling embarrassed now, and deflated.

"how to drop 70 kgs FAST"

I started focusing more on weights and less on cardio while staying at around 1500 calories a day, and I am gaining weight HOWEVER my clothes are looser and my body fat percentage that is being measured at my gym is going down! I wonder if you maintained your caloric intake (or even upped it a bit) then started a weight…

London (Ontario) in the house!!

get a fitting. after 30 lbs lost, i went from a B38 to a B36 whose sister size is a C34, apparently!
-
i love this thread. for me, maintaining has been more difficult for just about all the reasons listed above. nice to know i am in good company! i'm just back from a 9 day vacation involving "all you can eat and drink" cruise option - so i'm up 5 lbs and determined as ever to go back to "maintenance" weight. whether it's…

yup, me too. many years ago, i could only drink it "double double" (how we refer to it in Canada - maybe you refer to it that way, too, in the US), double cream/double sugar. i switched that out for a splash of 1% milk. you get used to it! but that's not what you're asking - so what if you put cinnamon or vanilla in it so…

5'5" CW 135 lb GW however many *more or less pounds* it takes to look "sculpted"; still a bit flabby in places

struggling with THE NUMBER myself. another mindf*ck that i often toy with is OTHER WOMEN'S GOAL WEIGHT. i think to myself "oh no. she's 5'5" as well, but her goal weight is 15 LBS LOWER THAN MINE - wtf is wrong with me"!? stupid numbers. they hold too much power over us, sometimes.

5'5" SW: 160 CW: 137 GW for June: 135 Can't seem to bust through that plateau to budge the last 2 pounds ... might have something to do with the pizza, wine, and frozen yogurt.

i've been trying to stick with 1,200 calories a day. i "eat back" calories burned through exercise. in 4 months, i've lost over 20 pounds. it's no secret: caloric deficit results in weight loss.

hormones. because at certain times of the month, they make me want to eat all the things.

in the gym at least three times a week. 10 minutes cardio (eliptical, fast walking on treadmill, or rowing machine) then about 20 minutes of weight lifting. i also walk the dog about 1.5 miles and I try to aim for daily, but that doesn't always happen. i went to a step class at the gym in an attempt to shake things up and…

I feel terrible for you. This is a lot to deal with. Get out for a walk. Plug into some music and just walk. I could spout something fancy sounding about how placating the stress with a donut is ultimately making the problem worse, but you know that, we all do (it's why we're here). Sending support your way from sunny…

i've just checked my progress and two months out, i lost 11 pounds. at the three month mark, i'm at a total loss of about 15 pounds. i've achieved this via the mystical combination of eating less and moving my body more. amazing! i know!

AWESOME JOB! High fives!

5'5" have recently gone from 160 - 145. My scale says 19% body fat, but I am not so stupid as to believe it. I'm more interested in toning/building muscle than a number on the scale *at this point*.

Thanks for the input, everyone!

I've just about done this! I'm down 13.5 pounds in 60 odd days. 1200 calories a day and hitting the gym and 64 ounces of water a day and at least 8 hours of sleep at night and eating back calories burned off at the gym. You can do it! I'm 44 years old with hypothyroidism and in perimenopause. If I can do it, you can, too!…

GUYS. I HAD TO TIGHTEN UP MY WATCH BAND. MY WATCH BAND. (Also, my "these jeans are way too tight, but I ordered them online and am too lazy to return them" FIT.....LIKE RIGHT OUT OF THE DRYER WITHOUT THE NEED TO PERFORM SEVERAL DEEP KNEE BENDS SO AS TO AVOID DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS). All caps, people, that's how excited I am.

yay you! ((high fives))

Yes! Please accept my membership application! Turned 44 in December. I am 5'5" and weigh 155 lbs. My first goal is to get down to 140 lbs. Main form of exercise is walking with trips to the gym 2 - 3 times a week for (surprise!) more walking (treadmill) plus a circuit of 9 weight machines. I am relying on the 1200 calorie…

I accidentally made a form of soft serve last night when I blended 3/4 cup frozen mango chunks with 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk and 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt plus a touch of water because the blender blades got stuck. Expecting a smoothie, I made soft serve - like - pour into bowl and stick a spoon in it soft serve.…

YES! THIS IS THE POST I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR! Thank you so much for sharing, everyone. This is just the inspiration I need. Congrats to all on their progress.
