setting a time limit isn't the greatest thing. instead of losing as much weight as quickly as possible, slow and steady tends to be the way to keep weight off and in a healthy way. your calorie intake should really be based on your height, weight, and activity level. but it's okay to experiment and figure out what works…

listen to your body. just make good choices. if you're hungry and over your limit, eat something that will satisfy and be low in calories so you're not over by much. but my mantra is to always always always listen to my body!.

a handful of dried fruit (i like trader joe's golden berry blend). it gives you sugar and carbs that burn off and doesn't take a ton of time to digest so you can eat it and then head out the door. be sure to eat when you're done though!

my first 5k was a color run. it's not timed. there are walkers. there are runners. but there's also a lot of hold up at the color stations because people are having fun and getting all colorful. that's a good place to get your breaks in. you can absolutely do this. i started around 250. be sure to train for it, but also…

my aunt has diabetes. angel food cake is like, the best dessert for her because it's low(er) in sugar. i did a quick google and there are TONS of recipes. (i am sure of this because she is in a rehab facility right now for some injuries and the dietetic restrictions are closely monitored--angel food cake is like, the most…

i'm getting my masters in education, so i get it. this is something i still struggle with. a little something i do that is still food-based is buy the mini chocolate peanut butter cups from trader joe's and you can eat like 27 of them as a serving and they're still less calories than a reese's. i often eat less than that…

When I'm in a major studying mode I like to cut up some fruit or veg and just munch away. other options: apples with some cheddar (watch the portions), popcorn, sunflower seeds...and be sure to drink a lot of water in between munching, that way you have some time to know when you're full or not.

i'm on prozac and have been for about 2 years. thanks to the counseling and being able to focus on my mental and physical health, i lost a bunch of weight through eating healthy and exercising (i gained it back only when i lost track of my diet, the pills had no influence). try to make sure you get the smallest dosage…
