  • I'm not a huge fan of breakfast either. Unless I worked out the night before 2-3 cups a coffee is good enough. The eating breakfast thing is a personal preference. Breakfast does not have to be "the most important meal of the day."
  • Full fat. I also eat the whole damn egg. None of this egg white business for me unless I'm making angel food cake.
  • I got the surgery. I'd get a 2nd opinion. My first doctor basically said the same thing as yours and I ignored it too long and now have permanent nerve damage. I'll never do the monkey bars again. :(
  • I use Besan when I make spinach pakoras...but they are deep fried. and so, so delicious. @dadhe are you talking about making a kadhi? Do you add yogurt too? I like different food and I recently cooked my way through Indian for Everyone I just found this online. I would make this.…
  • cheese is life. Cotija cheese...that's on the lower end of calories and is a stronger taste.
  • Thanks for explaining @seantnash. hehe. I'd drink more beer on there then. But, that does seem counter intuitive.
  • I thought weight watchers was just calorie counting with points instead of calorie counting with calories? I've never done WW. The cost has always seemed prohibitive.
  • I make freezer meals for the family, not just me. I've got 3 kids ages 6,4, and 4 months and work full-time. So, if I don't have a game plan for dinner everything goes to hell. Containers for freezing really depend on what I'm making. For cooked Ground Beef and chicken breasts I store them in zip lock bags with the weight…
  • I love a good London Broil that's been marinating for like 3 days to break down all that connective tissue. London Broil is cheap and flavorful, but you do need to marinate it at least 24 hours or they tend to be tough. I usually do mine in some balsamic vinegar, mustard, a little brown sugar, oregano, and pepper. Then I…
  • I'm ok with strip clubs. I'm not ok with lying.
  • Kids! I have too many kids! I'm starting to feel like old mother hubbard.
  • a bunch of my friends on here swear by Leslie Sansone. She does walk and run at home videos.
  • We have the exact same stats. I'm 38. I'm losing near 2 lbs a week and I'm eating 1600-1700 calories a day. I'm eating back the calorie adjustment from my garmin, but I'm not logging any actual exercise, if that makes sense. So, if I run I eat the calorie adjustment from the steps, but I don't log that I ran 5mph for 40…
  • put new b put new batteries in it?
  • cheat days. I don't log on MFP. I eats what I want. Yesterday was a cheat day. I had a cupcake at every meal, pizza, and numerous reeses eggs.
  • @rajions you can always make your own yogurt. It will run the cost of milk. That's pretty much it. I do a half gallon at a time. Scald 1/2 gallon of milk (it should be good right before a boil. You can use a food thermometer if you like. Temp should be about 185F) Let cool to about 100-110 degrees (like bath water) and…
  • freezer jam. It's just berries, sugar, and instant pectin. https://whatscookingamerica.net/Sauces_Condiments/Blackberry-FreezerJelly.htm
  • It would be harmful for the people around me cause I would be one hangry *kitten*.
  • Fire is what sets us apart from animals. I'm cooking my food.
  • If you are 4'10 and 94lbs you aren't fat. Your bmi is 20. That is in the healthy range. If you just want more definition then maybe talk to the lifters on here.
  • I look at the circular for sales on protiens. Like right now where I am, seafood is cheap (lent), ham is cheap, lamb is on sale, chicken is always cheap (in Delmarva, the chicken capital of the US) and I got a standing prime rib roast for $4.77 a lb. I stocked up on this stuff. Now, most of this is Sunday dinner…
  • @racheldix92 I bake a lot. I totally feel you. It is the best stress release ever. I've began to bake small batches or freeze some of what I bake. Kids want cupcakes. Great. I make 6 instead of 12. That way I only eat 1. Or, if I make twelve I freeze 6. When we want them again I pull them out and let them defrost on the…
  • I make tsukemono all the time (pickled daikon) but I've never done kimchi. Now I want to. I usually buy it from the asian grocer near my work.
  • For me, the trick is figuring out what will keep me full within my allotted calories and allow my treats. For a long time I was anti high protein...mostly because the keto people irritate me and I LOVE carbs. I have to confess, I tested positive to a wheat and rye allergy and have seriously cut back on my bread/wheat…
  • Black coffee helps me wake up and not kill someone in the morning. It has no impact on my weight loss except when I drink it black I don't have the calories from creamer. I like creamer too. I like all coffee.
  • @Chef_Barbell I feel your pain. When the weather is above 40 and not raining we grill probably 4-5 days out of 7. I grilled a standing rib roast on Sunday...low and slow for like 3 hours. I'd never done one that way. It was the greatest.
  • I've got 3 kids and my youngest is also 3 months old . i formula feed, and I'm back to work. The only reason I work out with regularity is that my work has an on site gym. Otherwise, I'd only make it like once a week.
  • You can do this. I have a 6 year old, 4 year old, and 3 month old. It is hard, but doable. I make several freezer meals /crock pot meals every weekend or I grill. I don't get home from work with the kids until after 6:30 so I need a game plan or we end up eating until 7:30. Make simple things you can either throw in an…
  • I've got a 3 month old, 4 year old, and 6 year old. I go to the gym either after they go to bed or on my lunch break at work.
