I'm losing inches too but very little weight. My problem is that I was denied life insurance due to reasons, health being one of them, about 4 years ago. This summer I want to reapply but I'm still considered obese, although a few lbs from the overweight category (198 lbs, 5'7.5"). I also have PCOS so my only problem is my…

My mom completed a grandma book years ago. I love reading it to my daughter. It brings back good memories

I understand why they might have the rule for students but what is the reason that they will not allow teachers to bring in their own food? What if a student (or teacher) has an allergy or just doesn't like the food?

I teach (middle school) 6th grade math in Virginia. This is my 17th year teaching. I've been steadily gaining weight for years. January 15 will be my 1 year anniversary on MFP--I haven't missed a day of logging which didn't happen last time I used MFP. My school starts at 9 and ends at 3:49 and lunch is at 12. I drive at…

Thanks for the responses everyone. I am definitely going to run outside. I've done both outside and on the treadmill in the past, but now it's just on the treadmill before or after classes at the gym. I will also have to get running shoes when I'm sure that I want to be a runner and that I really like it. I joined a…

I started my journey on Jan 15 of this year. I've lost almost 50 lbs and have logged into MFP every day. My goal for 2017 is to work harder on decreasing my carb intake to about 100-125g a day due to PCOS and to hopefully get down to 160 lbs-175 lbs. Every other body part has slimmed down nicely except my stomach. I also…

The pizza lady at Harris Teeter noticed my weight loss. I love their pizzas and on Mondays it's only $7.99 for a large. Anyway, on that day she was working in the deli and I asked for 1 lb of turkey and she said "have you lost weight?" That was the best feeling ever. Although I go to Harris Teeter about once a week, I…

I'll add you

You are very fortunate about your belly fat coming off with no problem. I will say my periods are definitely better. Now if only my belly and hairy chin would improve!
It is permanent, but new follicles grow and those will eventually need treatment too. It worked GREAT for me, but I need a touch up about every three years. It's so much better than ingrown hairs on your face and the constant healing that this requires.
This gives me hope. I'll look into it .

My doctor doesn't want to put me on Spironolactone due to my blood pressure. At first my blood pressure was high and I was on medication. After losing weight I was able to get off meds but she feels that the spiro might lower my blood pressure too much. She did give me a prescription for vaniqua but my insurance doesn't…

:/ I read that although laser is the best at getting rid of the hair it isn't permanent for women with PCOS.

How long did it take you?

How many carbs do you eat a day?

I wanted to try it but insurance doesn't cover it. It would cost be $163

I started at 244 lbs on January 15. Last week on my weigh in day I was 199! Today I'm 198.4. It took me 7 months. Still have a lot to go but I haven't been in Onderland in about 15 years so I'm very excited.

Yes! The same for me. It's so annoying.

I went in June. I walked over 20,000 steps at Magic Kingdom (about11-12 hours). We even took a 5 hour break back at our rental (where I slept for 2.5 hours). Also, you can bring in healthy snacks that will help u stay on track.

It's the opposite for me. I actually do much better during the school year. I ate at the same time everyday-breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, dessert. Now I find myself snacking throughout the day and I'm eating out more. I'm not doing bad, it's just not as easy as it was during the school year. However, my exercise…

It might be low blood pressure. The same thing happened to me. I was on blood pressure medication. All of a sudden, I would get dizzy and lightheaded, especially while exercising. When I went to the doctor my pressure was very, very low. The nurse took my pressure 3 times to make sure it was right. I was taken off the…

That was me also. When I first started to lose weight in 2013 I only used exercise DVDs, but this time around I decided to try group classes and I absolutely love them. At first I was a little self-conscious but that didn't last long. I also burned more calories than I ever did doing zumba at home. I say give it a try!

I just returned from a 5 day vacation and I feel like crap. I went in saying enjoy yourself don't worry about calories. Well I enjoyed myself too much. When I stepped on the scale this morning I had "gained" 7 pounds. I know most of it is sodium and all the carbs I ate (too many carbs for me is not good. I have PCOS), but…

That is my goal too!! I started at 244 on January 15. I'm now 208.6. My son's graduation is 6/17 and I wanted to be 199 lbs by then. I probably won't reach my goal, but I should be close.

Nacho cheese doritos are my weakness

I've always weighed more than my husband also. One of my goals is to weigh less. My husband weighs 180 lbs and when I get to 179 I will be ecstatic! Lol
-
I have that same problem! I have no back fat on my right side but plenty on my left. When I wear certain shirts or dresses you can see the difference. It's so annoying.
-
I always do this and I eat slowly so that I'm not tempted to eat the other half. I also do this and make sure to exercise that day for more calories.

I love ilovekickboxing.com. I bought a groupon for 10 classes. I can't afford the monthly fee so these 10 classes will be it. It's definitely a good workout though.

How many carbs do you aim for a day? I was doing good around 140 g, but then I upped it a little. Now it's hard to get them down again. I can definitely feel the difference.

This time around I tried classes and I love it! I was so scared my first time. But when I realized that no one cared about how horrible I was doing I had fun. Now I hate exercising at home. I take kickboxing and Zumba classes each week.
