Excellent thread! I'm doing whole30 for Lent so no sugar, processed anything...really good for learning to say no to the things that affect me health negatively. Struggling to pray more and spend some time outdoors each day enjoying creation. :-)

Welcome! I started with w30 also. It was hard at first but after the first 2 weeks I figured out what my body needed (sweet potatoes!) and havnt looked back. My energy and therefore my mood is steady. I feel so much better and lost about 8-10 pounds on w30.

1. Gained like 2 pounds but it feels like more. 2. Yeah right - zero, zip, nada unless trekking around shopping and six flags counts (which may explain why I only gained 2 pounds...) 3. Nope. Researched activity trackers/smart devices instead and plan to continue 3x5 for now. Success? Not exactly but not too bad... Ready…

Love this ^! Thanks for the perspective! I felt that way but was still taken aback by the results. All of the above responses and doing some reading on my own has brought me back to my happy place ;-) so thanks really. I'm a novice primal eater and have a lot to learn/digest. You've all helped a lot!

Whole30 is basically an intro to strict paleo-style eating. No grains, no legumes, no dairy or added sugar. Meat, fruit, veg, nuts and healthy fats/oils. The goal is to heal your gut, tame sugar cravings... It was life changing for me. I now eat primal.

Well.... I'm maintaining. Workouts are just not happening with end of the year appointments and Christmas prep :-/ Maybe next week. Still not sure about 5-3-1. Love seeing everyone's progress and hard work!!
