I have an open diary and always open to friend requests from others if people are curious what I eat

Your close family and friends will either be your biggest supporters or your worst enemies in weight loss. @ 5 foot 8 and 155 I'm already being told by my (heavier, never committed properly to losing) family to lose weight, and snide comments come from every side. But some people will give you awesome compliments too <3

If you are not losing at 1200, you are eating way more than you think you are. Buy yourself a food scale (who cares what your husband thinks, I doubt he would care too much) and start weighing everything you put in your mouth. Check all of the stickied posts at the top of this board, follow the advice they give you, and…

If you cannot take helpful advice without being snarky I would suggest you don't ask for advice at all. Nuff said!

As a 20 year old myself, do. not. get. involved. She is not a child so do not treat her like one, she is an adult, and any eating issues she may have are not your issue to solve for her. I understand you wanting to help but I was the daughter a few years ago and this is a struggle she needs to overcome herself. Offer her…

The way myfitnesspal is set up to work is so that you eat your calories from exercise back. It works on NET calories, so calories eaten - exercise calories = 1200 or whatever you have it set to. Not eating exercise calories back on 1200 calories is a recipe for disaster. Eat them! :)

Ignoring any weight loss goals (20lbs is silly IMO), I use a fun app called Zombies, Run! Running from zombies to keep you motivated in a gameified way is pretty fun and gets you running for at least half an hour each time.

If it makes you feel any better, my mother was prescribed diet pills which do actually work and are 100% legitimate (which people would probably do anything to get their hands on) they block fat intake in the gut - lost a few stone and then stopped taking them because 'they make my stomach hurt a bit' and piled it all back…

My motivation is remembering how good I feel when I see the scale move in the right direction, when I fit into clothes I couldn't before, and also remembering where I started. If I can get from where I started to where I am now, I can get from where I am now to where I want to be.

My go-to for injuries is very light exercise (walking etc), light stretches afterwards and NSAIDs (ibuprofen and aspirin). Rest it when you can, if it isn't serious it'll heal in time! I know its frustrating.

This. Also why would this topic be suited to an English paper and not a science subject? :noway: ETA: Some disorders, such as PCOS are different for some individuals. I for one have PCOS and while I can't say it doesn't mess with my metabolism, I only got 70lbs overweight by stuffing myself with bad foods. Can't blame the…

Exercise for fitness, Deficit for weight. MFP has me on a net deficit, ergo I eat my exercise calories. See ticker for results :)

You must not be from the UK as anything the daily mail writes about anything should immediately be disregarded :drinker:

That's the odd thing though - as the weight loss was marathon style, slow and over a long while, I never really noticed it on myself - so when i found the pictures I was ecstatic! A new wave of motivation!

http://www.reddit.com/r/vegetarianketo this will be pretty helpful to you i'm guessing :)

Anyone who wants help and motivation - feel free to add me, I'm a daily user who comments and encourages the best I can :)

Jack N Jills Peanut Butter Cream thingies - SO delicious but only 150 calories!

You're not eating enough! 1200 calories is weight loss for someone with a sedentary lifestyle, not someone who works out nearly every day. Your body is not going to lose weight when you're netting only 2 or 300 calories - it will cling onto every bit of fat it can. Log all your calorie burns into MFP, and let it tell you…

Couldn't be hormones, could it? I often get a few days prior to my TOM when i am practically a black hole for food and have to stop myself hoovering up everything in sight!
-
I personally don't have them, I don't see the point. I eat nice/delicious things like pizza, cake etc as long as it fits into my macros. Cheat days to me seem like temptation to run off track afterwards, and to just pig out on all sorts of things and ruin hard work. If i go over my macros in a day? no biggie. Would I plan…

I constantly have this problem because mine are pierced so my tatas always are 'standing to attention' and they're a bit of a different shape to look at because of the bars. Who cares? Go do your thing :)
-
Sage advice! I've been trying to do the same for my finals (biochemistry major) If there are any other students on here in the same boat, feel free to add me :)

I'm 18 too and used to have problems with an ED so feel free to add me as a friend. It gets easier, believe me :)

I've come out of forum lurkerdom to post here! I haven't got any experience with protein powders but was considering doing so soon - and I came accross hemp protein powder - it isn't pretty but you can source it from amazon if you can't get it near you. It's not sweet at all from what I hear :)
