Exercise calories are the tastiest. Something about burning 600 calories on a run (measured via HR monitor!!) and using some of those calories on a treat makes me smile. I eat back about 50% or so - All of my runs are measured via chest strap HR monitor.

I streaked a while back and HATED it. Made it 24 days (some days were only a mile very slow) before I ended up injured, hating running, and wanting to quit exercise. The body needs rest.

I can guarantee the weight isn't helping. Even 5 pounds is enough for me to notice my joints hurting more, my pace suffering, and not being able to breathe. The more important thing though....why are you running if you hate the way it makes you feel? Surely there is another exercise that you can enjoy more?

This is so odd to me. Rest is rest. No yoga. No elliptical for "only" an hour. No 10 mile hike. Nothing, no intentional exercise. That is a rest day. It's how a former running coach spelled it out for me and how I've kept it.

At this rate, I'll barely get 100 miles this month. It's like I PR'd my half and lost a bunch of motivation. UGH. May 15 - 3.34 miles of speedwork 48.79 miles for May Miles until Goal # 1 - 51.21 miles Miles until Goal # 2 - 61.21 miles

Way to go! I've been the newbie and the experienced person. Let me tell you, no one is focusing on anything besides themselves. There is only *one* time in my 7+ years of fitness classes that I've ever paid attention to what someone else was doing. And that was when someone was on the verge of seriously hurting themselves…

I have some trust issues with huge corporations, but I'm pretty sure you weren't "gyped" half the M&M's. The Mars Corporation is not out to get you. The package size is based on weight, not how many pieces are in it. This isn't some big conspiracy theory.
