I tend to read authors in their entirety... right now I'm reading Meg Gardiner.... her first book China Lake is extraordinary! A real thriller/legal page turner.I've also read her books: Phantom Instinct and The Shadow Tracer..... She, like John Grisham is a lawyer turned author. I really enjoy John Grisham, but there is…

OP I think your BF/man is negative and mean...unfortunately a site like fitness pal can't help him. (He probably needs therapy). Alot of people put others down to make themselves feel better. Work on the weight IF you want to. Don't put up with his BS, there are PLENTY of good guys out there who love people for who they…

I LOVE your post and your thoughts .... you are very motivating...Thank-you! This reminds me of a movie quote from the The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel: "'Everything will be alright in the end.' So if it's not alright, it is not yet the end.""

Leslie Sansone is a good walking low impact workout. Her 1 mile one takes 20 minutes... I find it really helpful.

OK... so I am not -100 lbs., and I don't have the market on this,. but I thought I would give you a few tips that helped me along the way. I work long hours and at a very stressful job (School Principal) so I know what it is to come home and think...I deserve this!!! Start exercising...go for a 20 minute walk every day for…

If you are female and low on Vitamin D you will constantly ache.... Try a vitamin D from the drug store... if the achiness goes away..then you have cured your problem. P.S. stick to the recommended dosage as Vitamin D is one that the body can get too much of.

Just 'cause he's a man...doesn't mean he know's what he's doing with weights.

Seriously cute!!! (This coming from someone old enough to be your mother!!... so not too creepy!) You have done a fantastic job! Congratulations!! Love the pics!

To me sustainability is key as I have been around this weight loss several times. If I would have kept it off I wouldn't be having to restrict my calories now. If I would have learned portion control and would have kept exercising regularly I would be in much better shape now. This is it for me, once I lose this weight I…

I think the right words are "monumental success" Congratulations on your success and your journey... you have taken on many new goals and achieved them. Nice that you had found Jackie to help you with your motivation, but it was YOU that made these accomplishments! WOW very impressive!

Yes, very similar weight loss and situation....in fact for a while I stalled out at 1200 so I increased calories to 1400, and a couple of more lbs came off, but now I am stalled again. I know in spring/summer when I am way more active my weight will drop and I might be able to get to goal. Sorry I don't have any…

Congratulations on kicking the habit! Many people find weigh loss frustrating, however, this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You should weigh in ONLY once per week and make sure you are eating all of the calories that MFP tells you. Also eat back exercise calories. Weight lost fast = more weight gained back later. Go…

Need to lose the last 10...I'm with you!

Thank-you...I needed to hear these ideas...yes... maybe it's time to declare one day a week as the "cheat" day and eat within range on the other six. Since Christmas I went on maintenance, not because I am where I am at goal, but because it's -45C outside, I'm less active and Xmas did not seem like the time to restrict…

I'm searching the MFP site for info on how to open a diary on a smart phone....

Sorry you are feeling so frustrated... keep working out- that's a great deal of effort and you will begin to see some change... as for help, it would be easier to assist you if we had an idea of your daily intake and macros, etc. Logging food each day is difficult but it is one way that we can look and assist each other…

MFP is a great place...although to do the best by you and your baby you should probably check with your doctor about your calories/eating/fitness plan during pregnancy. BTW Congratulations!!!

First offence (hopefully last offense ) I think Community Service and pull his license....for a couple of years... If he wasn't driving on streets with a potential for hurting others....if he was on a paid racetrack...no one would care ( and neither would I.....) He needs to have a reality check...he really could have hurt…

Well done...very inspiring!!
