one glass of good wine leads to two glasses of wine which leads to ...awww it doesn't matter if I snack...I'll make up those calories tomorrow.....

I bought a treadmill used and paid $150. it has ALL of the features... fat calories burned, total calories burned, heart rate monitor, foldable... it is possible to pick up a used treadmill that people have very gently used... as people buy new and then fall off the wagon, not use it ,and then sell it highly discounted. I…

I want to lose 20 additional pounds by spring break.... I also want to declutter my garage and my house and weigh the stuff I get rid of ( flylady does that) and see how many pounds of clutter I can part with. I also want to start walking every night after supper again....lately it has been -40 here.... too cold to walk so…

I was at about 1280 calories as well after losing 36 lbs. I stalled for about two months, and then decided to try upping my calories. I set my goal for .5 lb. per week which made my calories jump to 1500 per day...seems counterintuitive, however I have started to lose again... Try it...if you're stalled out it may work. If…

Jerreny taking on the extra work (and charity work...nice of you) will keep you away from food, but will it provide the stress relief or down time that you possibly need? Is there a hobby that you enjoy? Gaming, reading, golfing, hiking, going to car shows, etc that would provide some down time/recreational time that does…

Is there any way you could go for a swim before or after work? This wouldn't be hard on your feet and would be a good all around cardio workout. As for eating when you get home, when I was working full time ( still am, but now an empty nester) and kids needed to be fed... I used to do freezer meals once a month... ( look…

MORE than awesome....inspiring and motivational.....

So the reason for my weight loss.... being able to hike up ( and down) Machu Pichu - the Inca trail in Peru...once I'm retired. Our goals have changed much over the year...I have 8 months left 'till retirement...however, just the thought of being fit enough to do this means that other things I'd like to accomplish are…

Well speaking for myself... may not be true for you: by the time I decided to start on this journey I was busting out of my size 18's and they were stretched out ( But I had steadfastly refused to by size 20's). Therefore... the first 20 or so pounds made me a true size 18. Now that I'm down -36 I'm a true size 16.
"If I have anything left on my plate, I put it in a leftover dish. It's then "free" calories for anytime I'm extra hungry, because it's already been counted for in my day. I have no problem grabbing an already accounted for leftover container for a midnight snack."
Above does not show as a quote...but…

To my understanding your -500 calorie deficit is built into your calories that you are allowed.( if you were at -1lb per week in preferences) If you are eating a deficit of 120-200 less than they tell you to eat you are at a -620- to -700 calories per day x that by 7 days and it does add up to more than 1 lb. per week.…

What an accomplishment! Congratulations on your willpower and your ability to stay on track to find success!

Your lack of motivation may be caused by stress. Do you feel stressed? Take a good multi B vitamin and see if your feelings change. It will take about a week for the multi B to make you feel different... but if this is the cause you will feel much more yourself within the week. It is very hard to stay motivated with…

Hey Franceypants, Make sure you are talking a good multivitamin at supper time (it needs some fat in the diet to work) lack of vitamin D will make you more achey!... (From my nutritionist).

My two cents... eat with her first can be home or restaurant then head out to do the second leg of the journey. Both of you will do better on a full stomach...especially if there are some nerves! If you want romance you may consider a picnic (dependent on weather...followed by a horse drawn carriage ride through a nice…

I daresay you've got a "new body" "Commander William Adama: [President Roslin is bedridden, dying of cancer, and coughing profusely] What can I get you? President Laura Roslin: [sarcastically] A new body. Perhaps, one of those young Cylon models from the Resurrection Ship." Glad you have fought the weight battle and won a…
