  • I use the nutrition menu and order carefully. I usually order off menu -- a grilled protein (chicken or steak) and a steamed vegetable. I skip the bread basket altogether, and drink unsweetened ice tea. It's rare to find a restaurant that can't handle simple foods.
  • The 21 Day Fix launches officially on Feb 16th, but you can get it starting Feb 3rd through a Beachbody coach. The base kit (7 workouts, containers, eating plan) will be under $60, and you can get a challenge pack which includes a month of Shakeology for $140 - basically 1/2 price for the Shakeology. If you have questions…
  • The Challenge is really a challenge, but stick with it :) I also suggest doing "negative" pull-ups. I use a chair and one leg to boost over the bar, then I take my foot off the chair and use my full body weight to lower myself down. At first you will drop down fast, but you will quickly see that you can lower yourself…
  • I'm on day 4 of P90X3 and all I can say is THIS PROGRAM IS AMAZING!! Tony Horton nails it with this workout. I've done P90X and T25, and P90X3 is the best of all worlds. Each workout has someone who is modifying and someone who is extending/challenging so all fitness levels are included. Just 30 minutes! Feel free to…
  • great results!!! Wow look at all those inches you lost!!!! Keep up the awesome work.
  • I am so proud of you for your commitment!!! Sometimes the scale doesn't show it for a while, but you are right - the inches fall off. I've been in maintenance for the past month, which I think is harder than losing weight. The holidays are approaching. Don't lose focus. Let's hear from the rest. Are you seeing results you…
  • Way to go getting through week 1! Nine more to go :)
  • If time is a factor definitely T25 or the new P90X3 that comes out Dec 10th. T25 is 25 minutes each workout and P90X3 will be 30 minutes. Both are made for all fitness levels and have modified moves. If you have 60-75+ minutes, any of the other programs mentioned above will work so find one that matches your interest…
  • I'm a BB coach too and plan to be right there with you on P90X3. Buying it on the 10th and starting it the week after I receive it. X3 boasts new MMX and Pilates moves, and the yoga is only 30 minutes like all the other workouts in this program. I like how it breaks the 90 days into 3 cycles. I am beyond excited!!!! I'm…
  • Awesome results!!!!! I bet you will see the real changes in your belly in Beta. That's where my body completely changed.
  • congratulations … that is amazing news!!! Keep up the great work!!!
  • Yay! Yes, Speed 2.0 was a pleasant surprise. I love that workout still! Way to nail it.
  • OMG that's AWESOME!!!!
  • Awesome results! Yes, eating right is really the key here. You can do it!!!!
  • How did Beta day 1 go? I loved Beta. You should see killer results in these next 5 weeks!!! :)
  • I lost 14 pounds on T25 in the 10 weeks (136-122), and an additional 5 pounds in Gamma the 4 weeks after that. I ate about 1400 calories a day, sometimes more. But my eating was clean with just a handful of small cheats throughout the program. I don't do cheat days, only a cheat meal here and there for sanity. Plus, not…
  • Hi Ashely, Did you get the nutrition guide with your T25 workout? If so, try following their meal plans for a while. You can also log onto TeamBeachbody.com and see some recipes on their site. Honestly, I think 1200 calories is too few for you, and your body will go into starvation mode and pack the weight and fat on. You…
  • Another STATurday!!! I love seeing all the successes here. It's okay to have those bad days where you can't give your workout your 100% effort. Just take it one day at a time and do your best to stick with it! You WILL get out what you put in. I highly recommend the stretch workout for tomorrow (Sunday). It not only gives…
  • Don't be discouraged ladies. I saw the most change in Beta. Just keep going. You are getting stronger. Remember, NUTRITION IS KEY. Keep your eating clean and be sure you are getting LOTS of protein to fuel your muscles. Carbs are not your enemy - choose good ones from whole grains and veggies. Way to go week 3!!!
  • Total body never gets easy. I've been doing T25 since July and I still can't master all the moves in that workout. Just stick with it. :)
  • I have been hungrier on Gamma too. I think it's because Gamma is less cardio. Cardio reduces you appetite - all the HIIT and sweat and fast heartbeat. Gamma is more of a strength workout, and while you burn calories, I don't think your heart rate goes as high - at least mine doesn't. I don't sweat as much in Gamma (except…
  • Unless you can do pull ups, I wouldn't get the chin up bar for gamma. Only Scott uses it - one guy uses the bands and all the rest use dumbbells. I use dumbbells - 5-15 pounds depending on the move. I get a great workout and gamma really gets you ripped!
  • WAY TO GO!!!! Remember, you don't have to keep up with Shaun to "nail it."!!!! You finished it, you stuck with it, you survived it, you NAILED IT! Every week you will see yourself get stronger.
  • I love hearing about all the successes here!! The numbers on the scale are not everything - and you WILL see them move if you stick with it and eat healthy. It helps to weigh yourself the same time every day. I know my weight fluctuates 2-3 pounds every day from morning to night. Throughout my progress, I would go a couple…
  • GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT!!! Let's do this everyone! We are in it to win it!
  • Awesome job!! Keep it up!
  • MFP creates a pie chart that breaks up your daily calories into the macros. You should be able to gage it from there. Congrats on your results!!! Keep up the fantastic work!
  • You all are so inspiring. Keep up the great work!!!!!
  • You go!! I am proud of you too. Just keep plugging along. :)
  • Keep it up!!! Great work starting off right.
