I'm in kind of the same boat right, I've been going for 5 months with a very slow weight loss thus far. I work out 4-5 days a week, plus I try to lead a pretty active lifestyle, (tennis, biking, swimming). I've cut out gluten almost entirely, no bread, no pasta, no grains, no corn, no dairy. I eat meat, seafood and veggies…

I'm loving the pool as well, what I've been doing is increasing my lengths by 2 each time I go, so I started at 10, and now I'm at 38, and my next swim will be my first goal reached which is 40 laps (1000 m or 1 Kilometre). I haven't been timing myself exactly, but it is around 30 minutes for me, no breaks, no stopping, no…

I was going to buy that book, but then I checked and my public library has just ordered it so I am first in line for it. Are you doing the Paleo diet then or what are you doing, and how is it going?

Vitamin D from Costco and Carlson Omega 3 (liquid)

Have you considered Paleo?

Haven't got the magic pill but I'm excited to see some ideas so I can try some of them! Best of luck, sounds like you have what it takes to do it!

Dude I'm almost 40, I weigh 350 lbs, I have one leg and I am a full time wheel chair user and I have memberships at 2 gyms (YMCA and Cross Fit). I go 5 days a week, and I work out beside the skinny minnies, I swim twice a week all the while I get to roll past kids staring at me with my one leg and big man moobies and…

Awesome! Not that I endorse puking as a goal but as long as it is truly from pushing yourself further than you thought you could go, not from a huge meal before your workout and it's not a regular occurrence I think it certainly isn't a bad thing. I received a Puky the Clown sticker when I did it a few weeks back at…

Do it for you!

Hey I started CrossFit about 4 weeks ago, wow what a work out!! It was so hard at first, I couldn't do any other exercises for the rest of the week for 2 weeks, but on the 3rd week I just busted through the pain and now I'm doing CF 2 times a week, rowing twice a week, and swimming twice a week. Still hurts like crazy and…

I'd love to see your numbers! What a curious logic.

You lost 31 pounds since February 1st? What is your secret?

Welcome John, here's to you and your goals, go hard!!!!

I'm a sucker for consistency so my lunches are almost the same every day, but I love em! I'll tell you what I pack for work each day so you have a better perspective of what I eat during the day. I eat every couple of hours, because I try to never be "hungry" so I don't stuff my face. Hope you find something that works for…

So? How did you do? What was your final calorie count? Did you go for the peanut butter pie? Tell me you did, so I can live vicariously through you!!!! Hope it was fun. :P

The allotted amounts of sugar are not correct on this site, when I told my guy how much the site said I should have he was floored. I changed it in my MFP settings. Here is what he said. Who told you that 47grams is what you are allowed in a day? 50% of your daily calorie intake should be from sugar, not table sugar, honey…

Welcome aboard! :P

Dude that menu has tons of healthy stuff, you just have to be specific when you order. I'd go with; APPIE White Bean Hummus or Caesar Salad (HOLD THE sourdough croutons HOLD THE crispy half Benton’s ham and get the Parmesan cheese on the side.) MAIN Grilled Atlantic Salmon (HOLD THE vanilla whipped sweet potatoes ASK FOR…

Sounds like some awesome goals Jamie, and sounds like you have a lot to really look forward to getting back to. That is awesome! Go hard!

How's it going 2 weeks later?
-
Ya I know all about that, it is because we are creatures of habit and those old habits are so much easier than the new ones we are trying to develop. Don't give up, keep a routine, be consistent and plan your weeks food so you know what you're going to be putting in your body. For me though I cant have those old habits…

Nice post, thanks for the info!

I dont know technically if one is better to do before the other, but I know when I go hard doing cardio I sweat like a pig so the last thing i want (and everyone else at the gym) is to go from station to station sweating all over. That is why I do my weights in the morning and cardio at night.

Nice work, keep it up!!

I'd be in that catagory
