I like all of that and eat it. I like chickpeas, too. Any other ideas out there? Thank you!

These are great ideas. Thanks, everyone!

Thanks for starting this thread. I am 48. I have lost a lot of weight with MFP in the past. Looking forward to reading more!

This is amazing. You should be so proud of yourself. You’re your own hero!

Thanks so much everyone:)

I used it as a jumpstart in the spring and my body completely revolted. I think it was all the sugar and processed foods.

Thanks for this! I have been honestly wondering what people’s own experiences are with it. This is helpful!

That is really difficult and there are some really good scientific reasons why this happens. It’ll be ok. Just keep doing it and soon you will be pleasantly surprised one morning on the scale.♥️

How would “anal leakage” not be anyone’s deal breaker? Those two words finished me off. 😂

There is a light at the end of this tunnel and you will make it! Have you thought about addressing your issues behind gaining weight/overeating? I think you can change your diet forever once you fall in love with taking care of yourself. I would start with learning meditation and possibly talk therapy. You know what to do.…

Does anyone want to get this thread going again? I have chronic back pain and would love to support others/be supported. 😊

Yes we can! I am sober, too. When I told some new work friends, they all looked at me and were like: Are you serious?!?! We’re all in our late forties so I felt like we are a little bit old to question someone else’s decision to do anything for themselves 😂. Anyway, I wanted to recommend the book: Quit Like A Woman by…

I don’t like to eat that early either. I find that a green smoothie (1/4 head lettuce, ice, 1 cup coconut milk, 2 TBSP just-peanut peanut butter, 1 TBSP flaxseed, 2 bananas) goes down great and is very filling. I drink it while I am getting ready for work. Hope this helps.

I should not have written a question mark at the end of that sentence. 😂

How do you feel about beans? They are a great food for managing blood sugar.

You can do it. Put your weight loss first

It's hard to watch and feel your weight go up, but wait until you feel it going down! So worth it. Stick with it at least long enough to lose a few and then it gets motivating in itself. All the best!
-
You can do it! You have already taken the first step by starting. Keep focused on what you want and not on the food you are giving up. All the best!

It can be done. Maybe just start with one of those things you listed. Like just start by logging your food at first to get a sense of what you are doing. Also recommend counseling to see why you haven't been able to do those things you want. There are reasons, and knowing them is a good place to start. All the best and one…

Do not get worried. I think panic leads to more eating. As you said, it's not that much. Try to get back on the horse as if you never got off :)

I am overwhelmed. What great ideas. I came to the right place with this problem. God bless!

Thanks, that was really great. Your words mean alot.

Thanks everyone. Yes, he's a runner. He is also a coach, and decided his runners have less foot problems in general when training only on grass or trails. So it is more of an across-the-board philosophy he has adopted rather than a solution for me specifically.

I agree with your sister's doc. Thanks for mentioning that; it really helps! !!

I think the stretching is key for me, along with rest from running or walking for exercise. Then, when things get out of control, I need the shot (3 times in my life and I am 41). It is doing much better. I have laid off of it exercise-wise since Nov 12th and have been enjoying swimming! I have great shoes and orthotics as…
