Have a plan Rack up some small successes quickly Add a new goal every week. So maybe right away, you can cut out two fast food meals a week and replace them with something you prepare at home. Maybe you replace high sugar drinks with diet drinks or home made fruit smoothies. Once you get some good habits going, you'll find…

I have yet to have anything really good come of force feeding myself beyond my point of being satisfied. Eat until you're full. Drink lots of water. Pay attention to your calorie goals but don't be a slave to them.

Your body is exactly like everyone else's. So find a plan that' s been really successful for someone else and copy it exactly.

This is called withdrawal. It's not a headache. It's an addiction. Excessive Sugar, Processed Food, High Fructose Corn Syrup. It's not good for you. It's just the food industry's way of keeping you addicted and coming back for more. Is that who you are? An addict? I don't even know where to start with the problems in the…

I don't follow a strict diet plan. But I do follow some general guidelines: 1. Drink lots of water 2. Learn to love salads - tons of nutrient goodness, very little calories 3. Learn to love chicken and turkey - Lots of protein for the "I'm full" feeling 4. Go easy on the carbs and anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup.…

MFP throws up warning flags when you eat less than 1200 calories a day. There's a reason for that. If you're really working out daily, you should probably be somewhere in the zone of 1700 to 2500 calories a day depending on the workout routine. Why is everyone so intent on starving themselves?

Eat salad anyway. The benefits of eating your veggies have really been underestimated all our lives. In the last five years, research has uncovered that veggies are key in keeping our digestive system healthy and running well.

When you say "low calorie", just how low are you talking about? Under 2000? Under 1500? Under 1200?

Doesn't matter what plan you choose. The key is to stick to it over the long haul. I don't do any official diet regimen, I just try to hit my calorie goals and use common sense. Drink lots of water. Learn to love veggies. Super nutrients. Super low calorie. Eat protein food to help to feel full. Have carbs; but go easy on…

I love people who just "try things" as if there's no science or statistics to guide our weight loss journey. Your body is designed to process meats/fats. Your body has little need for high amounts of carbs.

Just a little serious levity to start off Friday ;)

Looks like your eating habits are all over the map. Most days a little on the light side calorie-wise. Then crazy days (Buffalo Wid Wings). maybe not so hit or miss? Your body is evolved to be efficient. Try changing up your activities.

+1 It's this. The last thing this group wants is to put you on a training program where you'll actually do more harm than good to your body. What small group can afford to get sued into oblivion.

I think you answered your own question. You had a short term goal. And it was short lived. Surely there's a better reason to get fit than a concert. Getting rid of those aches and pains that come from being overweight. being able to fit in those tiny restaurant booths that only stick figures can fit in. Only you can find…

You can't change people. You can only change yourself. It's a sad truth. But it's truth.

+1 Rock climbing is a great activity and workout. But a HRM is not gonna give you an accurate measurement.

YOu can do it! Drink lots of liquids. Eat lots of protein to help with feeling full!

congrats!

I think you've answered your own question. You prefer easy and lazy. So do I. I just prefer other things more. Like watching my son grow into adulthood. And being able to have interesting stories to tell people other than "I just sat at home watching Friends reruns". I want to look back on my life and see a life full of…
