I use it to clean my license plate before putting on the new tab sticker. Also works great on grimy keyboard keys.

If you are looking for boots that will fit, try http://www.duoboots.com/ (in the US http://www.duoboots.com/us/). They carry boots in calf sizes from 30-50 cm (about 11.75" to 19.625"). You choose both your shoe size and your calf width when ordering.

I'm going to second the vote for Panache. I wear a 32FF in their bra (US size 32H), and it is the only one I have tried that both holds everything in place and is actually comfortable. The design is based on "encapsulating" each breast, rather than compressing everything against the ribcage. No monoboob, you can even wear…

From what I have heard, people who are overweight for a short(er) time have less excess skin after weight loss than people who were overweight their whole lives. I gained 115 lbs within 18 months on a medication. Have now lost 75 lbs, 60 of those since mid-June, and have no loose skin (yet - knock wood). Hopefully the same…

Very possible, I am almost at 60 lbs lost after 5 1/2 months (started 14th June). Mr. Knight is right, there is a lot of effort and concentration involved, but you can take short breaks - I took a few weeks off in early September (when I had lost 33 lbs, 1/3 of the way to my goal) and also the first few weeks this month…

You might be interested in the book "Strong Curves" by Bret Contreras. One of the reviewers on Amazon said she had added 3" to her glutes. That's not "hips", specifically, but might be close enough for what you want to do.

Vodka and beef jerky. Is that weird? But, hey, no carbs in vodka. :drinker:

I bought an older version of the Schwinn model 230, and it is the best thing I have ever done for my fitness. Though I have only been overweight for a couple of years, I never was particularly "fit" before gaining the weight. Now I usually cycle 2 hours a day, and am in better shape than when I used to weigh 45 pounds…

Congratulations, you at least added an insult about American accents to your general slur against American people. Points for originality. You don't say.

Just to clarify for the record, I personally believe that medical costs should be shared among as many people as possible. The healthy should pay the same as the ill, and not just because their day will come to be the sick one - healthcare should be a basic right in civilised society. But supporting socialised healthcare…

The equipment must be paid for, and the cost is not entirely borne by the obese patients themselves. I think the point was the affront to the pocketbook, not the eyes.

Try SportSuds. From their description: "contains NO perfume, dyes, optical brighteners, sodium laureth sulfates, d-limonene, PABAs, petrochemical products softeners or fillers". It works great.

Do you eat back all of your exercise calories? If so, you could be overestimating your calories burned during exercise, and thus eating back too many calories. Smaller deficit = less weight loss.

I like the thicker folding mats, especially for anything that puts my spine in contact with the floor. Also remember that (if all goes as planned) your backside will be somewhat less padded in the future, and you may want a thicker mat by then. I don't see the one that I own listed on Amazon any more, but it is the Apollo…

Telling other people that you regret their upbringing sounds kind of, ah, rude and disrespectful. Just a wee bit. Sounds too much like "I'm sorry you had bad parents".

He probably has a small bone structure, and it really does make a difference. From what I have read, just as people with large bone structures should add 10% to their BMI range for a more accurate overweight/obesity gauge, so people with small bone structure should subtract 10%. Since he is likely not carrying the same…

Yes, that was what I was asking OP. He might be bipolar and not even realise it, if he's not been on mood stabilisers before; the Topiramate could have triggered his first episode. I myself only have manic episodes when taking certain medications (SSRIs, tricyclics, certain anticonvulsants that are prescribed for…

The more recent time I was to start at 25mg for one week, then increase 25mg per week after that, up to 100mg as the final dose. I lasted less than two weeks... unfortunately tend to have bad reactions to migraine medications. One might think that there is not much worse than constant migraines, but I guarantee being manic…

Are you certain that it is the Phentermine that is causing your anxiety? I was prescribed Topiramate on two separate occasions for migraines, and it caused me to have a manic episode each time - sort of a medication-induced bipolar, given that I already have depressive episodes. Apparently it is not a common side effect,…
