Fantastic ... do you mind sharing the price range of what you had done? (If too personal, please ignore)

Smoothies with tablespoons of peanut butter and organic cream are really calorie dense, and as liquids don't fill as much or as long ... the probiotics from full fat Greek yogurt can be great too. And so much protein!

But the numbers do actually work for your weight loss?

Thanks for your response! So if you don't mind my asking: how many pounds did you lose (gross and net)? And do you cycle or stay keto all the time? And finally, when you say it works best for you ... compared to which? What other ones were tried and can be compared? I ask because the general consensus is that it "works"…

I've tried for quite awhile now to find a single case of LONG TERM* success with Keto for a major weight loss of 100+ lbs. (Not necessarily eating the Keto diet that long, but maintaining the cycling of the diet OR maintaining the diet daily that long—just so long as the weight loss was maintained through Keto, not weight…

Soup! Potato and ham is my favorite for being filling, hearty, but still low in calories and fat. I make it homemade, though. Store bought or restaurant soup is a recipe for disaster, usually (read labels, you might find prepared soup that's ok, but you've got to watch sodium and additives too).

A good strategy is to provide a healthy balanced (carbs, proteins, fats) diet for everyone and let them add extra calories with things like condiments (mayonnaise, butter), snacks (that's where you can provide something different for yourself more easily), and desserts (which you can skip or limit, depending on your…

I am 2.5 years into this and still only half way to my goal weight. That said, I have lost and maintained a loss of 100 lbs for 2.5 years. So there's that. The key for me is logging. It's the ONLY promise I make to myself, that I will log everything. I make no promises on what and how much I will eat or move, because in…

Increased carbs (even without increase in gross calories) CAN cause a weight gain because they cause a higher level of water retention. Not all weight is fat.

lee1irwin, you're in the right place! This is where it all happens. If you want a new friend, hit me up! I'm in this for the long haul ... you can do ANYTHING you decide to do. GOOD LUCK!

It sounds hoo-doo'ish but I have found great results with meditation and replacing my impulse to eat recreationally with an impulse to drink water. Direct replacement was easier than getting rid of the impulse completely. Drinking water always good ... so now I'm a compulsive water drinker instead of a compulsive snacker.…

Just balance your diet and eat in moderate portions that fit your calorie goal. I use 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat with great success. Figure out your current BMR and use that as your goal as you lose. It's just that simple. Your brain needs those carbs to function!! If it doesn't get them and has to struggle to…

it might be different depending on how you are accessing the site. the mobile app doesn't have the same full features as the web site. if you are having trouble on an app, try the web access to see if that helps.

Essential oils are the pharmaceuticals we relied upon as a race until the Industrial Age. Of course, they are FULL of good (and sometimes bad) medicine and should be used with extreme care and research, like any other chemical substance you put into your body. There is tons of scientific evidence and explanation for why…

The claim is based on apples being high in pectin, the stuff used to make jello thick.

get a boston butt roast, put in crock pot and season (a jar of bbq sauce or salsa works great, but you can do aaaaanything). cook until it's tender enough to pull apart with two forks. eat out of a bowl, on a salad, in a tortilla, on a bun, over rice, over a potato or any other old way you want. makes tons of leftovers.…

If you're eating fast food (even salads) you're eating too much salt, most likely. Salad dressing is one of the worst! Try tracking your sodium and lowering your sugar, and you'll likely see a bump down on the scale from water weight alone ..

pork rinds are nearly pure protein, believe it or not. not much fat and no carbs. very portable ... (try to find noncommercial source without all the MSG) ...

i'm not against sugar. sugar is a more critical ingredient in my daily intake than any macro ... my medical conditions demand that i intake a high carb diet, but i'm careful about what kind of sugar i get and how i balance it with my other macros. the one thing i've learned most and that has led to my 100+ lb loss (still…

In the reviews I've read (like Cnet) the HR function is crappy/inaccurate in ALL of them. Bummer. I might as well just use the one on here for that level of accuracy.

Over restriction calories or macros is like holding your breath. Sure, it's easy at first, anyone can do it. Hold your breath, mind over matter. But the longer you hold it, the harder it gets. Eventually, your body takes over your mind and no matter how hard you try, you can't keep it going. Your brain forces you to gasp…

Fiber. Lots of fiber. It's magical.

Thanks, all! Appreciate your input!

I didn't read all the comments, so someone may have already posted ... but this book gets GREAT reviews!

For me, there's never a day that I don't track everything I eat. But some days I allow myself to eat into the margin between BMR and TDEE. As long as I stay below TDEE (maintenance level), I feel as if I've indulged without really threatening my success. And oddly, that seems like a LOT of food, I've not been tempted to go…

Okay, do you edit the leaderboard then? Do we just make comments to tell you our scores? Tonight, I got 12 on the boxing training module (punching the bag) but don't know if you count training. On bowling, my high game is 244 and my 'score' is 1037. On tennis, I have a score now of 1132. I like seeing everything on one…
