I love it for breakfast! I scramble eggs with it along with some veggies - usually zucchini, spinach, garlic, & onions or if I'm short on time I'll just add the eggs, some fresh salsa and spinach. I've been known to add in some diced chicken to that mixture as well...

I looked back at my records and I went from 175 to 138 in that amount of time (September 14 - February 10). That's a 37 lb loss and I'm 5'4"... I'll say this...it takes 100% focus and determination.

Suggestion: log what you're ABOUT to eat...see if it's "worth" it. Pre-logging has been a lifesaver for me. Try it! edit to add: ^haha...beat me to it!

I throw 6 or 7 breasts in the oven at 350* for 1/2 an hour (barely done, even slightly underdone is ok - will finish cooking when reheated) with just a bit of pepper and some herbs. It works perfectly to pull from throughout the week...salads, scrambles, soups. I'll also take a cooked breast and throw some salsa on…

Also, vitamin c helps your body to absorb iron...

Be careful with the spinach. I've learned that raw spinach has a component to it that causes you not to absorb iron but when it's cooked that component is no longer there - so cook your spinach! Kale is great....and broccoli, too!

How incredibly sad...

I would suggest tuna or I would cook a bunch of chicken breasts over the weekend and use that meat for sandwiches. Throw some paprika & pepper on them and bake at 350* for 30 minutes or so (check for doneness). You could also cook up a turkey breast for sandwich meat.

Definitely seek professional help...but you could also try cutting sugar out of your diet. For ME, if I eat a little sugar...it turns into a LOT of sugar - It's best if I stay completely away. I think some people can become "addicted" to sugar and it gives us that feeling of losing control of our choices. Check out my…

Is it too late to jump in? I just found this thread....and I did Day 1 today. I really liked it...

I do this sometimes, too. I almost walked into Lane Bryant the other day because I'd gotten so used to having to shop there. I have a hard time with this as well - I still feel like the same person for the most part.

Amazing, girl! It's workin' for ya!

I took mine with me on vacation last summer...it really helped me stay focused. I also bumped my calories up a bit during vacation to losing 1/2 lb instead of 2 lbs and I ended up losing 5 lbs in those 2 weeks.

LOL...too true! It'll probably take me a while to get used to eating so much fat (old habits die hard)...thanks for the feedback!!

My advice would be to eat from the top 2 tiers (mostly the top, though) only (see attached link) and stay within his calorie allotment from MFP. He should also be doing a LOT of running...that will help with the weight loss and prepare him for the Marines. If he's serious and is dedicated and focused he could drop the…
