LW 188.4 TW 187.4 :) I am trying really hard to get my activity in but also trying to make sure I get my planned deficit each day, even if it means I am up a little late on my exercise bike. I have a hard time with walking long distances due to my feet issues so all those steps you see reported are generally reflecting…

salmon? Oh, I LOVE salmon- just microwaved in my silicone container and eaten just like that... or put between a sandwich thin... I'd love to take some off your hands too. I can understand how you can get weary of it when you are trying to eat that much. My brother and sil sent me a little jar of smoked salmon for…

Sorry to keep going awol... life has been tough for so long that I am beginning to accept it is my new normal, at least for now. :-\ For a while, I haven't had the time/energy to be on the computer other than pop on long enough to click a few "likes" and put a few sentences on facebook so family doesn't worry. I don't have…

LOL re the link. Too funny and too real :) Hope all of you will be staying warm and safe during this winter storm. I need to go cover the plants and prepare the house for a freeze tonight. uggh. but at least it's better than what you all dealing with. Kelly, hope you are having a good time away I am all better and back in…

thanks ladies... doing better, quiet day but no fever today and nausea seems to be passing as well. Whew, what a lousy week. I'm expecting the saltines and chicken broth to swing my weight right back up by weigh in time but it is what I can tolerate so that's the meal plan for a few days, that and some homemade…

LOL Sarah... next time I'll bet you'll tell him "in a minute...uh, 19 steps" LOL

my steps are pitiful this week but I'm contributing them anyway :) Jan 11- 2.32 Jan 12- 1.08 Jan 13- 1.26 Jan 14- 0.69 Jan 15- 0.26 (a whopping total of 662 steps! I think that is my lowest ever...) That gives me a monthly total so far of 22 miles... you have all left me sitting in the dust. Keep it up, though

Lots of good chatter to read in this thread :) Sarah, I'm glad your coworker showed up- and about the wrist rash, I had that myself for the first couple weeks I work the Fitbit and then it cleared up, not to occur again. I wondered if it was a little bit of outgassing from the material the wrist band was made with and just…

sheesh, my numbers aren't any better... just added them to the other thread. I have so much personal stuff to catch up on but wanted to check in here first. Took mom to the airport today and now have some real serious work ahead of me to get back on track and undo the damage done with all the eating out we did, the…

hello!~ I have my computer back, LOL... it's been a challenge for me over the last couple months and my weight and logging shows it, but I haven't thrown in the towel yet. As of yesterday, my steps for 2015 total 52,438. :) I've got a little catching up to do with some personal things but will try to get back here tomorrow…

everyone is doing well so it seems, congrats to all for hanging in there and for the losses that have happened. Kelly, I am with you in regards to the salt and though I am up in my weight, I seriously have to blame it on the ham, Spanish potato salad (with LOTS of olive and brine in it) for the office pot luck and left…

sounds like fun and a great challenge but honestly, I have problems making 3-4 miles/day so will count myself out on this one. I will make a personal challenge of doing 1/2 of those steps, though...

don't much feel like sharing my weigh in results this week, but it is what it is, LOL. Gained 2 lbs the morning after eating a bagel and then later a deli sandwich at work and gained 4 lbs the day after Thanksgiving dinner at a coworker's house... it always amazes me how fast I can put it on but how long it takes to come…

it is good but when you consider how much I have to lose, vs how little Sheesh has to lose, she is clearly the winner this week :)
-
Sarah, maintaining is good when you consider all the stress from the funeral, settling your mom's estate and work, not to mention the change of diet during the traveling and funerals recently. Sheesh, what a great weight loss especially when you don't have much left to lose! I was feeling great about losing 1.6 lbs until I…

Sheesh, that's sad that even when you retired, the work stress followed you simply because it was a family business :disappointed: Sarah, I totally understand the issues. My supervisor asked me to make a list of what an office would need if they were going to start seeing children age 5 yrs and up, including ordering…

Saturdays are my weigh in days but couldn't get here until now... in site of not getting my active minutes, I didn't do too badly :) LW 179.8 CW 177.6 :) I'm just going to keep on keeping on... congrats to Sheesh for the weight loss and to Sarah for maintaining in spite of some poor choices (been there myself) Hope both of…

Can't believe I've come to the weekend and have just as much left to do as I had when I got off on FRiday, minus the laundry and food prep...busy time for me and very busy weekend on the go. Doesn't look like things will let up anytime soon either. Have gotten next to no activity minutes over the last 2 weeks but at least…

Looks like we are all holding steady for the most part. This week shows me at 179.8, which is within .2 lbs of where I've been for 3 weeks now. I'm doing okay but I need to put in more effort. I completely forgot about the week's challenge and just went into survival mode. Sometimes, that's just where life takes you but I…

Sorry to have gone missing... work was typically busy, complete with overtime and extra time spent taking care of costuming needs so I could dress up as a minion like the others in the office but I felt like I was playing catchup all week from being gone last weekend- still not caught up and haven't even started with my…

just got home from a weekend camping trip so have a good bit of things to take care of (including food prep for this week) but wanted to let you know, Sarah, how sorry I am for the loss of your brother in law... he certainly was young. (((hugs to you and the other family members))) Lois, sorry to hear you are still having…

yes, I'm trying but having a tough time getting here to log in each day... and it seems my iPhone has been slow to load the data so I go to bed before posting the stats. Sorry. I haven't had time to log foods the last 2 days... not being home on Saturday really put me behind on a lot of things. I will be out of town this…

sounds like we are doing pretty well, all in all :) I will start the week 4 thread shortly but wanted to add my week 3 stats to this thread. Wed was 55 active minutes and 1 hr 3 min fat burning Thurs 41 active minutes and 1 hr 27 min fat burning Fri 37 active minutes and 1 hr 7 min fat burning :) Sarah, your work doesn't…

well, talk about frustrating... been getting my activity fairly faithfully and the time I missed, I did double the next day, have had a good deficit each day but no loss this week. Actually up 0.2 lbs, which could be something as simple as water so I'm not worried about it. Hopefully I will start going back down again in…
-
Lois, good to see that you are at least doing well enough to start talking about getting up and about, even for a little bit. Nice thing about a message board is your fingers do the talking :) Sarah, good that you are getting back out for your walks again too. Don't let not having a walking buddy be an excuse for not…

yesterday I ended up with 1 hr, 9 fat burning minutes, of which 55 were considered active :) My weekend has been all mixed up since the key fiasco on Friday night. Missed getting the groceries on the way home so went out and got them yesterday morning so that I'd be able to do my cooking for the week. Finishing up laundry…

well, the last 2 days didn't go the way I had planned... yesterday was busy and hot so I didn't get out to walk at lunch time. I was late getting home and made the mistake of sitting down and the next thing I knew, a puzzle and couple hours later, it was past my bedtime and I hadn't done any activity/exercise. I totally…
-
did well again today with getting out for a walk at lunch...if we can keep the heat and rain out of the forecast, maybe I can make this a regular event like I did before... we'll see 34 active minutes today with51 minutes of fat burn. Lois, hope all goes well at the dentist tomorrow
