I'm partial to 7. :)

No, You don't look like you're in your 40's. That being said, I AM in my 40's and don't think I look it. So, 40 must be the new 30 so don't be offended!

I got really sick and ended up on all sorts of medications, including steroids that made me eat everything that wasn't nailed down. This happened to me twice.

I didn't log anything I ate yesterday. I was too scared and didn't want to know how much damage I was doing while I was doing it (and wow, I really thought I did a lot of damage). I had to weigh myself THREE TIMES this morning because I somehow managed to lose half a pound. Go figure.

Alas, I cannot eat Pop Tarts. BUT, if I could I would totally eat the Pumpkin Pie ones. I'll take the Nyan Cat scarf though!
-
Some people eat pop tarts, some don't. The ones who don't eat them have very valid reasons for not doing so, such as sugar content, GMO content, caramel coloring (cancer link), HFCS (mercury link), artificial colors, etc. The one who eat them have valid reasons for doing so, such as, I'm not overweight/still managing to…

I haven't noticed that I lose more if I drink more, but I do feel better physically when I drink more.

Whole wheat noodles, brown rice, wild rice, beans, diced veggies...

Yogurt with fruit. In the warmer months you can make it into popsicles. What little kid woldn't love a popsicle for breakfast? Oatmeal (if you have a crockpot you can put the oatmeal in before you got to bed and it will be ready in the morning). You can certainly do eggs, just make up a veggie frittata the night before and…

Yes, a slow weight loss is easier to maintain.

People are idiots and will always say stupid things. I still marvel at how, when I was really sick last year, dropped a ton of weight, could barely eat, felt like death, was as pale as a ghost and everyone kept telling me how great I looked!

On the days where you can't be 100% accurate, close is close enough. I never weigh myself a day after I've splurged. I know I'll always weigh more because of water retention, etc. Try to limit yourself to weighing in only once a week anyway.

Eating junk food causes you to crave junk food. How about starting simply? A 5-10 minute walk at least 5 times a week, and an apple a day (or banana, or whatever piece of fruit you like). Those are both good for you, and simple ways to start changing your life. Once you see how good you feel getting out for a walk, you…

All hail the "V"!!! lol

It really depends on how you look and feel. I'm 5'6". My goal is 125-130. I've been that weight before, I know it looks good on me, without any extra flab anywhere.

Fantastic!

I'd find a cure for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease, then go live in Disneyland.

I like fish. A lot. I have a ton of fish tanks. 3-22 is my birthday.

Calories matter for sure. That being said, a calorie is not a calorie. If your goal is say, 1200 calories a day, and you eat 1200 calories of potato chips a day, yes, you will lose weight. You'll also be quite hungry. The key is to eat a wide variety of things and yes, include the full fat versions. I would rather eat 1…

Me too!

Potatoes are good for you, unless you deep fry them or drown them in things that aren't good for you, like butter, mayo, etc.

Well done. I know the feeling and it's AWESOME. I hope you're doing a happy dance now. :)

^^Yes, that^^ Junk food is concocted to taste good, to make you want more. Everyone knows that sugar is addictive. When you are eating sugar without the benefit of other nutrients and fiber (say, a pack of Twizzlers instead of an apple) your body is looking for the extra nutrients that it didn't get. Therefore, you will…

Me too! Any partner worth his or her salt would be supportive of you, not try to sabbotage you. You need to be firm and spell it out. THIS is how it is. If THIS is not what you want, you are welcome to leave. There will be NO crap food in my house. If you bring it over I will throw it out. There will be no complaining…

I've been running on a treadmill since September. I'd love to run outside, but that isn't possible due to some health issues. I hate running. I do it anyway, three times a week, 3-4 miles each time. I keep thinking I'll eventually learn to like it, but no, I don't think I ever will. I just don't like exercise!!!

I only eat them back if I'm hungry, which sometimes I'm not.

I met my hubby at a bar 22 years ago. For him, it was love at first sight. For me, well, it took a few months for me to decide if I even liked him, lol.
