What motivates YOU?
I've had a really rough couple of years healthwise and sometimes it just feels so good to be able to eat that I just do. And do. And do some more. What motivates all of you to take that first step? That first week? To keep going? How do you keep from getting down on yourself, not just about your eating habits, but about…

Best Blender?
I'm thinking of getting a blender and have no idea where to start. At the moment I'm just using a magic bullet, but I'd really like something I can make some awesome green smoothies with. I know the Vitamix is expensive but is it worth it? How about other brands like Ninja etc? Any suggestions?

Is running in place as good as running?
It is POURING out right now, and I want to run, but I'm not into getting soaked. Would it be okay if I jogged in place instead? Would that be the same?

A funny thing happened....
I was driving my daughter home from a Girl Scout thingy tonight. It was late, around 7:45PM and I was STARVING. All the way home I was scanning the road for a place to stop and grab a bit to eat simply because I knew I wouldn't get home until after 8, and then to start cooking, UGH. McDonald's? Nah, didn't want that.…

Another question for runners...
Yesterday was my first day of week one couch to 5k. Today my legs are a little sore. Not too bad, but I feel it from my ankles right up to my thighs. My question is this, should I do day 2 tomorrow, or wait until I am no longer sore? Thanks for any help!

Advice from runners, please
So, I have just started running, doing the couch to 5K thing. Today was my FIRST day and I got through it unscathed. Now, it tells me to run 3x per week for the whole 9 weeks. What I would like to know from all the runners out there is: Do any of you run every day, or more than 3x per week? Do you exercise at all on the…

Bad knees and running
Soooo, last year in an attempt to lose weight I took up running. I weighed about 160 at the time, and even though I have bad knees, I thought if I took it slow, it would help me take the weight off. I did intervals of walking for 2 minutes, run for 30 seconds, and slowly worked my way up week by week until I could run for…

Trigger Foods
So, I think the most important thing I have learned on this journey is to deprive myself as little as possible. This is because if I don't eat a cookie every now and then, I will eat the WHOLE BAG of cookies. Or chocolate, or whatever. That being said, there is one food that I CANNOT have. Corn chips. Any kind. It is…

Favorite breakfast?
Hi everyone! I was just wondering what everyone's favorite things for breakfast are. I used to be addicted to a bowl of cereal in the morning (I confess, my favorites were Lucky Charms and Cocoa Crispies). Now, if I have cereal, I opt for more natural options but my favorite discovery is PARFAIT! It's like having dessert…

Any tips on how to drink more? I know I'm supposed to have 8, and I have my jug full of 8 glasses on the counter, but I still only manage about 3 MAYBE 4.

Staying Motivated
Any tips? I've lost the same 10 pounds 3 times in the last 3 years. I can't stand it anymore. I'm down 10 now and I have another 20 to go, but I've reached the point where I go back to binging and gaining it back. How can I stay motivated? How can I keep from blowing it all and actually getting to my goal this time? Does…
