  • I completed the Insanity program!!! Missed a few days when life got in the way, but lost 11.5 inches in total
  • I agree with the others, go in person. Pictures on the Internet can be taken from clever angles to make things look better than they are. Also if you go in person, you can talk to someone, have a tour maybe you can discuss what you want to get out of going to the gym with a trainer and what kind of other options the place…
  • I've only gone and done it! My first running challenge and I managed to do it! Week 1: 10.94 miles Week 2: 10.40 miles Week 3: 10.39 miles Week 4: 8.67 miles
  • Target: 40 miles in June (10 miles a week) Week 1: 10.94 mi Week 2: 10.40 mi Week 3: 10.39 mi So far so good!
  • So far so good :) Target = 40 miles Week 1 = 10.94 Week 2 = 10.40 I did have a bit of a cold this week, hopefully I'll be better next week!
  • I love the row machine! As already said, get your stroke form right and you'll get a full body workout combining cardio and resistance. So no looping the handle over your knees or pulling up to the chin!
  • 10 miles a week - I'm on track!!
  • London :) feel free to add

  • Keep a bottle of water handy and keep sipping it.
  • When I did 30DS, I only lost 6/7lbs. I was a bit gutted as I expected more too. Results here However, I looked like I lost more and I had much better shape, especially on my abs & arms. Real confidence booster and the muscle strength helped me with my running/ cycling. After I did that I moved onto Ripped in 30. Most of…
  • Hey everyone! New to the group, but I have been running for the last few years. Completed several 10ks and 1 half marathon (don't think I'll be doing another!) My goals have always been to run the whole race without walking, but this year I've decided I want to do a sub 1 hour 10k. Any advice on how to this would be great!…
  • Hey everyone. I'm new to the challenge, so I'll start off with my average miles in a month. I have been a bit under recently, so hopefully this will still push me :)
  • Great thread! Needed some places to look at so I can buy the workout outfits that I have on my Pinterest account! Although a bit hit and miss, you can get some good stuff in tkmaxx. Picked up some cute under armour sports bras for £10 a few weeks back.
  • I'm in the same situation right now! Feel free to add me :) I'll chase you to log your food daily if you hassle me about doing it too!!!
  • I listen to music when I run. I find that when I have a good few tracks that I sing along to I don't really notice the time go past and I end up going further than I thought. The same goes for running with a buddy, you'll be so busy chatting you don't notice the distance at all. You can also encourage each other to go that…
  • Hey, this sounds really similar to my goals too. I will be happy to support you (or anyone else on the thread for that matter!) please feel free to add. :)
  • I try not to get too hung up I the size number on clothes as it varies so much from store to store. Who cares if the label says 10, 14 or whatever? If I try it on and it looks good and makes me feel good, that's all that matters to me.
  • Great job :) trying to beat a pb is what got me hooked on running. It's a great addiction to have!

  • Congratulations, I love you're dedication and commitment The results show that you really do get out what you put in. So motivating!
  • I'm around 166 looking to drop about 10-15 by holiday in September. Keen runner and spinner too!
  • ^^ This I would also suggest that you avoid the pre/post drinking snacks too. Try and eat well before you head out so you won't be too tempted by food. Great news about the weight loss so far :) you deserve a night of letting your hair down. Then back on it!

  • Wow and congrats! You are a new person and your story is very inspiring!
  • If you're in the UK you might have heard of the hairy dieters cookbook. (If you're not from UK then hairy dieters will sound crazy!) I love this book, always comfort foods in there that I try and have a few times a week, hearty stews, chicken and chips, spaghetti bolognese to name a few. The dishes also taste like they are…
  • A Londoner here - Feel free to add :)
  • Sounds like it's been a roller coaster for you! I'm restarting too after a lull in my tracking/exercise. If you want feel free to add me so we can support each other :)
  • Hey, I'll add you! I used to live in Woking, but then moved to London due to work. Hope this still counts! :)
  • I'm no expert, but from my personal experience, it should help you tone up. I try to do about 12-15 reps with the last 1 or 2 being a real struggle. When I can do the exercise at 15-20 reps without feeling the burn on my muscles, then I move up to a bigger weight (gradually!) I would advise to rest between weight days,…

  • Thanks :-) To be honest, I wasn't following a plan of eating. I was eating mostly Smoothies with whey for breakfast, soups for lunch and meat & veggies for dinner. Making sure that I having good serving of carbs 2/3 times a week. I didn't fully cut out the treats. I still had a few drinks and chocolate at the weekend.
  • Thanks for the link - great lunch ideas. I also love the Lion King cake. Very jealous of that little girl who got that!
