Woohoo 5km done this morning, its the first time I've done it for a while due to my ankle and I finally managed to get a sub 30 minutes time (29:34) It was tough out there as I haven't done it for a while and its really muggy this morning, I had to walk several times in the last km so I'm really chuffed to have got that time Finally my ticker is kicking into life this month!

My planned late night Thursday run got canceled as my Wife was too ill to leave. Yesterday's long trail run 28.4 miles around 2000 feet of climbing in just under 6 1/2 hours. A lot of the trails getting more overgrown now especially on the coastal paths section (I call them paths but thats being a bit generous ;-)) it was a steady pace still trying to get my nutrition for my 50 dialed in but finding it difficult to eat. Next weeks long runs I'm going to try a bit more on the liquid route

June 21 - 6.71 miles -- walked the last mile because I was in need of bathroom and bottom of one foot was tender. I think it's time for new shoes! So when I got home and opened garage, I took out my app to stop it, saw I was at 6.66. So, of course, turned around, jogged down a couple houses and back to remove that number. As I approached my house again, I saw neighbor's dad, who is visiting, looking out the window at me. I'm sure he was curious why I would walk up to my house, open garage, then jog away for 30 seconds and come back.

@skippygirlsmom love the reasons to not date a runner. When my husband farts I'm a little less offended. Not sure I'll ever get use to the snot rocket in parking lots though.

@isulo_kura good luck with the diet. I know nothing of the nutrition need to fuel/train for long distance.
I'm hoping for a decent run today. I've found that if I just go with no expectations, I do much better. If I set out to do 5-7+ miles, I peter at 2.5.0 -

6/7 - 7 miles - I'm so proud of this run it was at 10:21 pace, which is fast for me - I was comfortable the whole run

6/10 - 1.6 miles - rest day today - just keeping the 41 Days of Awesome challenge alive. I'm trying to do this mile at a faster than normal pace for me. Then I grabbed Macy and took her for a 2 mile walk.

6/14 - 9.6 miles very hot miles. I think it was about 83 when I went to run. Went to the Greenway to be in the shade. Sweat was dripping off my shorts by the time I was done. I was ticked I couldn't run the whole 10 miles so I went back out after getting my water for a fast paced .6 mile walk.
6/15 - 1.6 miles - keeping the 41 Days of Awesome challenge alive
6/16 - 5.6 miles
6/17 - 3.2 miles -short run, had to get Macy to groomer by 7:00
6/18 - 7.4 miles my virtual run for State Trooper Dees.
6/19 - 1.6 miles for the streak and strolled a couple with the Macy after
6/20 – 3.1 miles 5K race for Big Brothers/Big Sisters – PR’d with a 28:57.4 for 3.16 miles – finished 3rd in my AG and 77th out of 200 runners. 9:10 pace – ran 9:06, 9:19, 9:11
6/21 – 5.7 miles
93.8 out of 120 miles
@7lenny7 I took ibuprofen before I ran yesterday and I toe didn't bother me. During today's run there were times of "ouch, ouch".
@ddmom0811 is your foot black and blue or anything? Yeah I wouldn't finish my run at that number either!

19.5/31. Was at camp and ran a 4.1 trek. Had no idea how long it was to begin with. When c25k said to stop running I wasn't ready so I ran for the next 20 min after that at a slower pace. I was very proud and did not have an ounce of pain afterwards so I am going to continue that with my runs at home0

I'm at 25km for the month so far. I managed a sub-30min 5km run today for the first time in nearly 8 months, so I'm super happy!0

Hills are getting easier. Frequency of pain is less. The medicine has a side effect of sweating. So I actually friggen sweat now! It's amazing, my upper lip sweats, my eyelids sweat, my hair is soaked...
I still run/walk. Today I ran 2 miles straight. I can run a 5k, but never push that hard training. I set a goal to walk/catch my breath at X point, and just kept going another mile past it. NSV! I'm still getting use to not stopping because of pain. Hopefully it won't be long before mentally retrain myself out of walk breaks.0 -

Does it feel like you're stepping on something? Like a small rock? That could be a Morton's neuroma. My doc thought I had one. But I don't. Hooray!
Hopefully it's just that the padding is worn in your shoe. Mine did that at the pad below the great toe. New/different shoes did the trick .
It weird sweating, but I totally love it! Was 80% humidity with a cool breeze from a storm to the east. Couldn't have asked for better summertime conditions.

Took off a few days from running as Florida summer weather hasn't been great. Returning to the cooler north tomorrow when I'll do my (1 day postponed) weekly long run and catch up a bit on the mileage. Just need to average 5.5/day through the end of the month to hit my target which should be doable.

4 miles in the late afternoon sun. It was hot, but not humid, and it was quite an effort. I focused on keeping my HR down and only ran 12:00/miles. This is going to be motivation to get my butt out of bed and run in the morning!
